Normally I get 75 fps but in Valdrakken I often get as low as 12, maybe even lower. Is this a pc problem? Or is it just the population issue?

Sounds like the Walmart black Friday special PC needs to be upgraded/replaced
I have a 5900x and a 3080 and I also suffer drom FPS drops in Valdrakken.
How’s playing at 1080p in 2023? That poor man life.
I avoid Valdrakken as much as possible because of it.
Yeah mine dips down too. I think it’s all the dragons flying around having to load in.

Only on Tuesdays for me. Every other day is normal.
The first 5 seconds of me being in Val are the worst lol. I’ll hearth in and just lag

Yes. I have a 4500$ computer and I can assure you that I run anything on FULL Ultra in 8k at 240 FPS but in WoW and in Vald… I get lag spikes and I dip in between 50 to 60 FPS. There’s something really bad going on with the game and I have a feeling that it’s affecting our computer. I will unsub if they don’t fix it soon. I don’t want to break my PC for such a crappy game.

Sounds like your dollar store personality needs an upgrade. Someone asked if anyone else was having similar problems that often happen for a variety of reasons and you go straight for the insults. This is the kind of thing that makes people reluctant to ask for help from the community.
If you’re insecure and need a round of pity applause for whatever superior hardware you possess, just ask. No need to have a go at someone asking a simple question.

It doesn’t matter if you have the World’s best Supercomputer or not, the game is going to lag
People get upset that their $20,000 PC or whatever is not playing good with WoW when it’s the engine itself that prohibits itself
A revamp of the WoW engine would benefit modern setups today but it’s not enough profit for Blizzard to do

I get 20-25 fps at max. Average is about 15.
Which is both a PC (AMD FX-8350 CPU, NVIDIA 1060 GPU) and a Valdrakken problem (I’ve heard others with far better PCs say the same thing) for me. Because most other cities are like 30-40 fps.
The amount of people there today, even in the middle of a workday is huge. Far more than what I used to see in Dalaran, which had similar problems when current.
One thing I’ve noticed in this expansion is that the video stays smoother when framerates drop compared to the past when they’d get really choppy.
A lot of assets around the environment to load.
Similar to Legion’s Dalaran.
Both city hubs had to load everything below the city
It’s a Valdrakken problem. I’m at 60fps everywhere in the game except Valdrakken. I am anywhere from 40-60 there. Definitely manageable, but not silky smooth.
As someone who actually does have a potato for a pc (2012 I think? But does have an ssd) it is really bad at times. Single digit fps. But it’s manageable after a bit. But a pain nonetheless

got lowest of 54 fps on a new intel i9-14900 and 4080 rtx super build. I think best to do is get out of valdrakken, makes my PC hot. LMAO
I have a 5900x with 4090 on a 1300 watt platinum
I also drop fps. Wow is single core dominant game. FPS drops are guaranteed.
