From casting arcane intellect on another mage in the open world that hasn’t buffed themselves?

I do occasionally catch myself lacking it while out knocking out WQs. It usually happens when due to how we lose group buffs, if your character was not the one to apply it, when leaving dungeons, LFR, warfronts, etc.

I can’t say I’ve ever noticed other mages lacking it, but then I’m not normally looking to buff them. Other casters though, especially healers and the neglected shadow spec, I try to make a point of giving the buff.

I have an eat mage food macro that also casts arcane intellect on myself.

I use tell me when for everything. It helps me know when I’m not buffed by having a giant arcane eye on my screen when it’s absent. I cast it and it disappears.
