Anyone else feel like Wrath was overhyped?

I had fun while leveling to 80, gearing was kinda fun too but now I only log on the weekends to raid with my guild, and sometimes I don’t even want to do that  I don’t have alts or anything to do besides raiding since I don’t like pvp, so yeah, I’m pretty bored already.

Yep. This is how you can tell OP never played original wrath and is just carebear #59402 crying about no RFD

We’re on the final patch of the game where RDF released…

Original wrath was a lot harder than classic wrath

You put other stuff in here to make it appear otherwise but this is just a pvp whining post

No but then I have an amnesia disorder and I remember quite clearly how wrath was.

I lost all the time in between when I played it and pretty recently so unlike the rest of you I don’t exactly have nostalgia for it, it’s just like playing it over again.

And not one bit of this is surprising. Not one bit of it is upsetting. Not one bit of it is overhyped in the slightest. what is surprising is the amount of people who seem to think that the game was hard back then and also seem to think that blizzard owes you more than what the game originally gave.

The only thing that sucked about it back then was the fact that they didn’t announce that they were taking away the proto-drakes right away and not everybody got all the achievements done because not everybody was doing Naxx anymore at that point.

So the fact that all of you are crying and losing your minds over this just kind of need to go back to vanilla classic and go lose yourself in aq40 so that the rest of us who actually enjoyed Wrath for what it was, which was easy, alone and out of your nonsense.

Stop demanding the game be something that it wasn’t.

It was never hard. It was relaxed and something that you could do with your friends without worrying about it too much.

And the fact that everybody’s screeching on the forums that the game needs to be harder, and that the game needs to be a worse experience for people, and that you just don’t feel Elite enough if you can’t Lord over everybody because everybody is clearing the content please please For the Love of all that is Holy go find something else to play. nobody will miss your whining, trust me.

Wrath was successful because it actually had a decent medium between punishingly hard nonsense for the hardcore Raiders and an easy experience for everybody else. You haven’t actually seen any of the hard stuff yet because the hard stuff came in later. Hardcore guilds sat on aybss crystals, leveled alts like mad, and did personal challenges in Naxx like trying to get 25 priests through. Trying to get 25 Druids through or 20 or 10 in 25 man. They made sure that everybody’s alts also had proto-drakes because that’s even funnier.

The fact you want to take away the easy experience for everybody else because you don’t feel satisfied is your own problem.

Find a way to satisfy yourself without demanding blizzard do it for you because hardcore guilds back in the day used to have a lot of fun doing weird challenges and you are choosing not to do those things and instead crying about it on the forums.

Funny, since they argue no RDF in t7 is a change, even though RDF came in 3.3.

If blizz was going hard no changes, then we shouldnt expect it till ICC drops.

The Wrath that most people remember is the final patch of Wrath, that was the most accessible patch for everyone, through various dungeons and dailies and raids you can particpate in, RDF to allow for people to quickly jump into the game, or level up alts easier, and overall enjoyed much quality of life bonuses.

We are just in phase one of the game. We have plenty of game to go. :woman_shrugging:

The changes blizzards forced into the game to actively change it also likely have not helped.

No No ,that’s me - 6 days currently but I’m not trying to brag just clarifying it was likely a mix up .

Answer: No way
I am super enjoying this expansion. I am liking it much more than TBC or Vanilla.

I’m having more fun in Wrath than TBC… and I enjoyed TBC classic. Early Classic Vanilla was the pinnacle due to how much of a struggle it was. Classic Vanilla got easier as time went on due to world buffs. Raid logging being mandatory to have max duration world buffs also put a dent in Classic Vanilla’s participation. It’s just not a struggle that people want to start over with stuff like Season of Mastery. Instead of continuing Classic Vanilla with more content, they tried starting over, but it doesn’t work for the amount of time and effort that goes into vanilla.

LOL… and what exactly is making this game completely unplayable for you? Its the exact same game with minor QOL updates to keep up the pace.

It was suppose to make me 16 again. It also was suppose to be all new never before seen content surrounding the end to the most anticipated wow story ever.

That or some peoples rose tinted glasses just squeezed their heads a little TOO tight and they’re caught off guard.

Great point. People just had mega rose tinted goggles about the game, and its not exactly how they remember it so they blame the changes instead of looking at a mirror and seeing the real issue.

That’s because the WotLKC forums still have more content than ScalieFlight.

To be honest I’ve been finding it pretty boring but I’m also playing solo 99% of the time. I’ve been trying to be more social with my guild that already has their established friend groups. If I can squeeze into the social group of my guild I’m sure it will be a lot more fun.

Finding a guild does help but it’s hard to find the time to secure a solid raiding guild so i’m forced to do pugs sometimes and just GDKP it up.

I thought I was going to be in the same boat but this guild is actually very active with multiple sign ups going and there happen to be one for tomorrow which is my day off so my fingers are crossed.
