Here’s some videos of people hyping up Wrath before launch:
Not to mention all the countless posts people made hyping up Wrath, tons of streamers as well.
3 weeks in and I personally find the Wrath experience to be incredibly overhyped.
P1 Content is incredibly faceroll/Heroics are kind of wasted content as no one really does them anymore.
No RDF means no one leveling anymore, Level 1 - 70 zones and even Northrend is dying out.
Massive DK bots selling gold for incredibly cheap, people don’t even farm or do dailies or quest with rates like that. Nothing is being done either about them, not a single Blue response.
Arena participation is incredibly low, rated gear is never a good idea and no cross server means you can’t even play with friends.
Not to mention all the bugs like 2 seater mounts not being able to seat people or Druid Feral abilities ignoring all Resilience.
It even seems like most of the streamers/youtubers who hyped it up are now hyping up Dragonflight Pre-Patch which is next week as they baited people to come try Wrath only to abandon ship and go play the next shiny game.
Idk, I just feel like I bought into the Wrath hype and it hasn’t really been worth it.
im having fun. no problems getting groups for heroics. naxx is easy, yet fun. there are some problems for sure, but unlike retail, the good outweighs the bad for me.
You are not playing wotlk. This is a bastardized version. Wotlk was my favorite expansion and I can’t get into the current trash they are calling wotlk.
I respect that I’m glad you’re having fun, I’ve found myself raid logging a lot and not really have much motivation to keep playing even on alts. Idk I felt like TBC/Vanilla kept my attention more.
Yeah I’m not sure why they made so many changes to the original experience.
I know you didn’t reply to me but imo no RDF was a big one, it killed a lot of replay value for me as I don’t enjoy questing that much and dungeon grouping is a pain with LFG.
Personally, since we are well past #nochanges, I would have made some small tweaks to the storyline to make it more engaging. I would have changed the name of the expansion to:
Bath of the Lich King. Hows that for hyped up? But wait…the final raid you kick in the gates surrounding the dreaded Ice Crown Citadel to find its been remodeled into a comfortable, but not pretentious, yurt and out back is a hot tub where you climb in and kick it with Arthas while drinking malt liquor and listening to Megan Thee Stallion.
Okay so, RDF wasn’t part of the first year of WoTLK so tell me:
What other changes did they make to the original experience that you dislike? Don’t get me wrong, removing RDF was obviously idiotic but you guys are really implying that every change Blizzard made is bad, so tell me them.
