Anyone Else Entirely Neglecting The Renown Feature Of DF?

Because I am. Professions and a few pretty crap appearances and some story I can view on youtube just don’t make the time investment worth it for me.

To each their own. I’ve been enjoying them and the fact they’re not required for end game play and I’ve almost maxed them out. Hitting certain levels definitely gave me a nice sense of accomplishment.

Not even paying attention to it.

Nope. Almost capped with them all while casually getting reputation.

I’m not ignoring it but I’m not actively chasing it down either. I get new ranks when I get new ranks and then I get my very lackluster reward and am disappointed and just move on and try and find something else about the expansion to be excited and engaged with.

Same, I do the weekly/bi-weekly quests, almost done with all 4 renowns, haven’t farmed any rep except the black dragon rep in the first week or two.

I got the black dragon skin from Sabellian, and I’ve pretty much abandoned the system.

Why?

Well, nothing as cool as the black dragon skin for one. The other colors just aren’t as cool!

Also, I can’t earn renown through dungeon spam while wearing a rep tabard, otherwise I’d do that.

I’ve lost too much time trying to do broken World Quests like the climbing ones, trying to complete them.

For the most part, yes. I try to catch up once I get my keys done for the week, but farming renown isn’t a priority.

problem is: story is locked behind renown

I have to get 24 with Expedition in order to further the story. -_-

Takes for-bloody-ever because there’s not enough WQs or dailies. At least this week there’s the rep boost buff.

I’m not neglecting it, but I am looking forward to neglecting it in the future.

Eh. I stopped once I realized how many quests or turn-ins it would take to actually make progress on them. I mean, come on Blizz. 15 rep for an artifact turn-in? At that point I’d rather just farm anima.

That’s what I’ve been doing, yeah. Event weeklies, WQs, and running around with an Artisan’s contract on. The first couple weeks I did get the daily rare farms in for a couple upgrades, and the M0 world tours. Now I raid and do a couple M+s in place of that.

True Friends with both Sabellian and Wrathion, Esteemed with Artisan’s Consortium. I’ll end up capping Tuskarr first, then probably Valdrakken and Dragonscale, and Maruuk last (they slowed down for me when I stopped doing the nomad camp quests).

I went pretty ham on the Black Dargon rep because I wanted black dragon mounts.

After that…yeaaaaaah i don’t play enough to get rep lol.

Yup. Just did enough to unlock soup and siege.

Otherwise hard pass.

Haven’t gotten past renown 7 on any of them because of flying. When I get my druid flying back I will come back to progressing renown.

yes, as a pvp player I don’t care about rep and staff other than pvp. Just log in, do some bgs, solo queues, duels, sometimes mount farm, and log out

I’m not grinding it or anything but at least trying to do every WQ before they rotate, especially this week.

I want that full armor appearance from Valdrakken. I want it bad.

Yup. Renown disconnected from the actual video game of WoW (raids, dungeons, PvP) = a big ol’ flop. Ain’t nobody got time to do world quests just to see a cutscene, lol.

Ive been doing it passively while leveling the crafting rep via contracts.

I only chased rep for some profession recipes and dragon skins. Otherwise, advancing in Renown is a byproduct of doing other stuff and I like it this way.
