Been having the same problem last half hour. I’m playing on Illidan server from Argentina.
They’re the most popular WoW content streamers at the moment, a classic hardcore raiding guild.
People from Dalaran, Thrall, Duskwood, Mal’Ganis and Zuluhed have all be saying it.
Every single one of those realms are in the exact same battlegroup. Stormstrike batttlegroup.
Just had a key bricked because of this

Mean, they DDos by over crowding the server by using trial accounts or I assume that’s what it is, “attacker floods a server with internet traffic to prevent users from accessing connected online services and sites.”

They don’t even need to go to that length, just send a large amount of login or authentication attempts.
That’s not what a DDOS is lol. The traffic is junk packets sent from a botnet.
So can only log in on accounts that are active then?
No accounts are necessary they just have to send the traffic itself.
Same here. Our poor Illidan Hunter is getting DC’d every 30 seconds.

psure a shell script can send bogus login attempts to the authentication servers right?
I am getting DC’d every 30-60 sec and on Illidan. I can’t even play

No DC issues on Stormrage.
When I alt tab, my game crashes very often though. Idk what happened to this game man.
