Anyone else bored?

Like I had more fun in WoD. Sure there was like no content, but the content that was there was fun, and there was no borrowed power bs.

I don’t feel like doing the mission tables, they’re the worse they’ve ever been. I don’t want to bother with Renown, I don’t want to touch the Maw, Torghast is just so easy and boring, but the thing about all those is that you sort of need to do all this tripe to stay competitive.

Anyone else feel this way or is it just me?

Shadowlands is the most bored I’ve been in a long time in WoW. Just nothing feels rewarding or worth the time/effort.

I am posting on the forums instead of playing, so yeah.

I really think the writing is causing the ennui.

SL needs an interesting antagonist and a compelling story. We really still have no idea what we’re doing there or why. We know the afterlife is messed up but it’s still pretty abstract as to where we’re going and how to get there.

So, meanwhile we’re going through all these motions and hoping it means something, eventually.

I log on, do a couple or three bgs, a few WQs, a little maintenance on my character (bags, bank), and then log off.

I have four characters at lvl 60, and I was maintaining all of them (renown, gear) until last week. Then I gave up. Way, way, way too much work and time required. And I’m thoroughly bored doing the same content over and over and over on multiple toons. I thought maybe I should just try to focus on one character, my “new main” for this expac. Still, boring.

Some people truly enjoy repetitive content. I myself do enjoy it sometimes, depending on the content we are talking about (I’ve watched multiple television series from start to series end multiple times, heh. And I liked leveling alts up to and through BfA during BfA.) But in SL, the repetition is just tedious and boring.

So now I’m down to doing one character weekly, and not really able to stay interested after a few bgs and WQs.

I’ve already unsubbed. I suppose if Blizzard offered a budget subscription, like $6.99/month but locking me out of dungeons and raids and the gear associated with those…I’d possibly keep a subscription and just log on for a couple hours here and there, to maintain my one character and do some bgs. Call it a “PvP subscription” or some such. But the normal monthly sub (in addition to the initial purchase of SL) is not balanced with the lack of interesting content.

Sub every other month and use the catch-up mechanisms. that would cut your cost in half.

I’m so bored I help random groups in TC despite the fact I’ve soled the entire thing.

Too much hassle really. And I wouldn’t mind logging on for a little while every week, doing a few bgs and maintenance on a character. But after being off for a month, I’ll probably find little strong draw to bring me back the next month.

As long as we’re in lockdown I’m saving enough every Saturday by not going out to brewpubs to pay for 2 months of wow.

It’s interesting that many influencers on YouTube are saying everything is great.

If you actually read the entire quest, then you wouldn’t be bored, just saying. I’m having fun and I’m also in WM all of the time. Sure, when I get gankbanged 5 v 1, it’s frustrating, but I still have fun with the content

Personally I am enjoying it. I really like how there are lots of ways to mess with classes and specs. However I also feel some of the general malaise about the content. I do read quest text and some of the characters are actually kind of intriguing. I like Ve’Nari, and I like some of the characters in my covenant.

I’ve gotten bored in previous expansions, but found that if I set specific goals, it made a huge difference.

In BfA, I made goals to get my iLvls past a specific number, to get pathfinder, to get a Vulpera and, at the end, to be a pet battler with specific pets (still haven’t gotten Sid the Squid :frowning:)

In SL, retained the iLvl goal, decided to max all professions on my three main characters, make a specific, high level ring/necklace with my jewelcrafter and so on. (I had a goal to get specific memories, but, to my surprise, achieved all but one really fast.)

BTW, I haven’t paid cash for time since last summer, which is another goal.

Ve’nari is definitely interesting. I am not sure if she’s a good guy or bad guy yet🤔

Basically this… I’m about done with M+… Not worth the effort and raiding is almost at that point, but for now I still enjoy raiding with my guild.

I’m sitting at 15 Renown. I literally don’t even touch the maw and I’m drained after trying to keep up with these things.

Yeah, i’m a little bored atm. I’m keeping up on renown so when flying unlocks I should be close. Other than that it just feels like busy work. At least the loot in previous xpacs gave me a carrot to chase. I like doing WQs but not for off spec conduits or 70 anima.
