Anyone bored of WoW?

playing casually in SL/in general but over the years i’ve just been getting more and more bored of it. i still play for the story but it’s become something of a chore to me with rl. no motivation to really gear up and do much because i play casually.

feel like i want to quit but can’t either. wondering if anyone has the same feeling/ had that feeling and what you did?

pokemon mystery dungeon rescue team dx came out and that with thehunter call of the wild pulled me away from retail.

I do want TBC servers to play casually as I love that world but beyond that eh.

(Bannerloard is updating so I am board atm)

Yes. I took the longest break I ever have after ten years of playing at the end of BFA. I was certain that shadowlands wouldn’t be able to pull be in, that I’d finally be free from WoW for good, but it did and here I am playing for 6-8 hours a day again. I don’t really enjoy it, in fact I loathe the game. But addiction is a real thing and this game is extremely addicting

yea same but i play less then u now. i mean i enjoy the story so far just the systems i guess that get me bored like idc for m+ much and idc for torghast either. i try to do torghast as much as i can but each layer i spend maybe 30mins doing doesn’t feel like time well spent either especially since i have 0 leggo’s to even craft.

There are times that I look at the World now and think, Meh…
I feel though, my current malaise is not being able to connect to the lore of Shadowlands as much as I could with the Zandalar and Kul Tiras campaigns (yes, I did like BfA, all the way).
However, if the whole leaves me cold, there are enough elements that keep my pleased so, there’s that too.

Haven’t played in a week. Depressed with my spec. I don’t hardcore raid nor mythic so it’s like meh.

I’ll just dabble here and there but each zone feels tiny now. I have more fun in forums

That’s called an addiction problem.

These are my last and inevitable 5 months, after this I will never return to this game.

this is not the same company who developed Burning Crusade my beloved expansión.

see you in another MMORPG OP.

I can relate somewhat. I really enjoy mmos, but the WoW formula has become very stale.

Unfortunately, there are just no real great mmos anymore to me. The whole genre has gone in a direction I don’t like.

I still think WoW is the best of the bunch, but I only give it a 6/10. single player games do not interest me anymore so here we are.

I thought the dart transmog was cool…

now i’m regreting it…

and there’s no ancient tree mount yet.

They said the winning mount would be released Q1 2021 when the voting started.

I think most of us here are stuck in a cycle. We’re used to this formula so it’s not hard for us to play less nowadays. Shadowlands does brings some interests better than BFA, but not enough to keep us interested all the way. The alt leveling is fine so that’s a plus though the skip Maw feature is necessary.

I know that feature will be implemented eventually, but as of now we just have to wait until the next patch to see what’s in store for us. As of right now for me since I play a warrior. My class in pvp has become Scott’s Toilet Paper where in BFA it was Bounty’s Paper Towel. In pve they’re not doing so well either so it’s not as excited for me, but durable.

There’s still lots of work to be done to make this game fun, but right now I don’t think they got a clue to keep the player’s interested all the way because they’re still stuck in their old ways.

P.S
I do miss posting on my worgen, but I am not a horde main.

Nope. I’m bored of SL though lol.

Not bored, I’m having fun. Well with everything but the maw. That place can burn in a deep pit.

Been going down each expansion for me for a looooooooong time, I really started to like the game again with legion but then BFA ruined it, and then SL had to go and somehow make me appreciate BFA.

Only really sticking around cause I’ve been invested since early vanilla and I just lack a solid alternative to jump to in the MMO space, I loathe FFXIV’s raid/grind structure MORE than WoW’s.

It could be construed as addiction but at this point you could call it a sunk cost fallacy. You have poured so much time and resources into it that you don’t want to feel like you wasted it by just giving it up.

The design vision of the game took out what brought soul to it. You don’t make friendships like you did in the past because you don’t have to build any relationships to do content. The content alone is not going to pull you in with how repetitive it is from previous expansions. The genre needs fresh content from someone who can put soul into their story unlike this game now.
