There is always that one person who has to put down other people with similar issues as them because “omg, you’re using it for benefit, oh, you’re living off the government, I have cancer and I didn’t use government support or free money at all, I’m so much better than you, oh you have ADHD? I have ADHD and I still have seventeen jobs, you have no excuse. Oh, I have a terminal illness, just because people want to do something for you, Imma show how bitter I am by making you feel like shih because people actually want to help you just because nobody actually helped me, waaaah!”
I am getting sick and tired of these negative freaking people in the forums lately!
Nobody has to prove anything to you
Why is everything always a competition, a who has it worse, so freaking what? Even if it is an excuse, who tf cares! How about mind your own business and hop off. Just because you’re whatever doesn’t give you ANY excuse to be rude, disrespectful and question someone’s disability!
I honestly cannot imagine having a terminal illness and wasting that already-withering time by being bitter and vindictive online, especially towards someone else who is in a similar position.
And always either “kids in middle school” (at least when I was in middle school, they made having any type of illness a competition as if it was something cool, making people feel like their issues were unimportant in comparison to Elizabeth theoretical person with “all these other illnesses and daddy issues”) or older people who stay acting that way or saying crap like Flak says.
“oh, I was born in 1960, and we didn’t have all this medicine or mental health treatment, we had to pull our boots up by their straps! I had two houses, got married, and worked five jobs with no issues while missing an entire leg and had to clean the house with my LITERAL teeth”
It’s that people love comparing themselves to people and putting others down just to feel better about themselves. They will bring up everything they can just to try and put you down because you don’t handle things the same way as you, or because you seek or receive help/support. It’s the same people who get upset because some people receive WIC, Food Stamps, or Social Security in America.
Except, this isn’t some social benefit needed for the health of the individual, so it’s a completely difference situation.
Technically none of what I said is your business either, so take your advise OR understand that when something is up for discussion in the public realm other people might have opinions contrary to yours.
I simply think that if there is limited beta access the purpose of which is to gather feedback about the state of the game then priority should be given in alignment with that goal and not just for whatever sake a random poster on the forums decides is worthy.
Keep in mind that it would actually be beneficial to me if people were given priority simply for having a terminal illness, but I don’t think that’s fair to everyone else. I am putting the needs of the community above my own and demonstrating an altruistic disposition instead of being greedy and expecting priority over others.
I never said that nor do I agree with that statement; in fact, I think medicare should be expanded to everyone but that’s besides the point. Stick to the facts of the discussion instead of creating a strawman to attack.
How? I think that it should be expanded, even if it isn’t expanded I certainly don’t think we should reduce benefits / remove those who currently receive them.
Then how is it even relevant to the thread? And if you are talking about the medicare / medicaid item from earlier, I never said it should be removed from people if it isn’t expanded (I think that would be horrible if it were); I simply think that it should be expanded to everyone (for a variety of reasons, the main one being it would be more economical to do so).
Your point being…?
They have not actually been given the key yet - assuming it is within the realm of possibilities.
What whoever is in charge of distributing keys decides to do is their prerogative, you assuming that being stringent is their goal serves nobody but your own presuppositions.
On that note: beta access is not as limited as you think. They are allowing numerous giveaways to occur across different spaces instead of solely relying on account flagging.
Obviously, the amount of people entering is by far disproportionate to the number of keys being handed out in said giveaways, and that may make it ‘feel’ limited, but everything is relative. There are plenty of opportunities.
With that said, they are already very clearly not strictly prioritising people who want to test and report bugs over people who simply want to run around a bit; it is, to a degree, unrestrained, as absolutely anybody can enter the giveaways, so what difference does it make if they decide to provide access to a person of their choosing, reasoning for this request in consideration or not?
