Murlocs cannot even speak common and are extremely low intelligence and have no major united faction. They currently offer nothing to each Faction either and are mostly seen as a nuisance or ignored.
Maybe Blizzard will make upright Murlocs who gain high intelligence from a Titan artifact or someting.
Course even then, that’s iffy.
As they’re ugly and would need a new model to wear our gear.
So, I don’t see them being popular after the memes and would require a lot of work.
Same for Kobolds.

Oooh you gave me an even better idea, horde get nagas. Alliance had to do some kinda magic to make murlocs smarter to go up against the horde’s naga.

They speak Mrrrgl, which we can understand. They aren’t “low intelligence” at all and they can easily be given a united faction.
Uh… tenacity, spirit, cuteness, tactics…
My hubby has been asking for Philosophical Murlocs as a race, where they speak Mrrgl and the subtitles are all sayings of wisdom.
Not an opinion I share.
I see them being more popular than Diaper Gnomes.

I love SSC for nagas, that’s an awesome idea. For murlocs probably Elwynn forest you are doing normal Elwynn Forest murloc stuff (murdering low level humans). Then you find some kind of naga relic and you are enlightened and made smarter and also you see how the Naga enslaved murlocs so you join the Alliance to fight the Naga.

The only playable race I need these days are Saberon…I just keep dreaming it will happen so I can make my tiger warrior…but I guess I’ll just keep dreaming. 
Those are just male Nelfs that look like fish. Blech. Boring. Murlocs are better!
