Any Word on In-Game Marriage?

It’s been around in FF14 for quite a long time

Getting married in FF14 gets you transmogs and mounts.

That’s something thatd be really cool to do in WoW too, and no it should not be faction locked at all.

Can we get something like this in the game? Maybe it makes more sense to hold off until player housing happens but its a cool thing we can have

You want strangers bombarding you with whispers to marry you for an ingame reward? Of all the you think do but you don’ts, this you don’t the most.

INB4 Nonsense

The way they did this in FFXIV is pretty cool, my partner and I can teleport to each other wherever we are in the world like a WoW Hearthstone.

This is one case where WoW should literally just copy FFXIV. It’s fun and not required for people who don’t want to do it.

Every time someone tries to give me an invitation I immediately throw it in the trash next to the 40 flower moogles I’ve unfortunately collected over the years.

I already have enough trash in my WoW bags.

What next, tax breaks and discounts on insurance?

No thanks.

Or they could just give back Have Group Will Travel to everyone, instead.

Which sounds like a vastly superior idea, to me.

Do you, catfish, take this other catfish to be your bride?
Do you, catfish, take this other catfish to be your husband?

You may now drop the filters and kiss the catfish.

You can marry using RP and imagination, and with RP you can be married to as many people as you like.

Not by imagination and RP it isn’t.

Tired of this “we need to be like FF14” nonsense, player housing I don’t mind because it feels like we’re the only MMO without it and it will contain ERP’ers.

FF14 is popular, because they have skimpy gear and don’t anger the casuals.

I mean it would probably just be requests in Trade.

Only if divorce is handled in trial by combat. Loser permanently loses half their bank.

I wouldn’t mind Blizzard adding in a feature where you could attend an in-game ceremony and get an in-game marriage. The reward would be each spouse gets a title: “Spouse of (name of spouse)”.

That would be a fun thing for the RP’ers. And another NPC could be added for those who want a divorce.

However, I don’t think there should be in-game rewards for taking advantage of such a system. I don’t like the idea of mounts or teleports or anything like that. Players should want to marry for RP reasons… not because they want a mount or reward.

Not a feature for me but Im all for people having it for themselves!

Not a big game changer either way, but if its more fun options for people, why not?
