Exp buffs for current lvls are laaaaame
I think it was done because a lot of people at 25 did quests for gold and now there are no more quests for some.
But I do hope it’s up to a certain level and not all the way up to 40.
It’s a neat little quest and the bag buff isn’t much (but the treats are, free rested xp!).
Only downside is a 3 hour cooldown with a 2 hour buff that FADES ON DEATH.
Kinda crappy when you get beat down on a PVP server. Yeah, yeah, PVP happened on a PVP server.
But still. It’s 3% XP every 3 hours for 2 hours. Make it stay during death.
It’s been found, numerous class discords have the method.
Regarding the utility of it:
You get 8x consumables that each give you a few bars of rested XP for consumption.
The item/buff itself is 1% xp gain rate for 2 hours, with a 3 hours cooldown, and stacks up to 3x. It takes 1minute per stack of the buff.
Best case scenario is that you can save all the consumables until 55+, when the time per level is actually high. However, the math on the sleeping bag itself makes it an absolute DO NOT GET NOT thing from a time efficiency stand point.
A good leveler will 25-40 in ~24hours played, and a 3% xp buff will barely save under 45minutes. JUST USING THE BAG for 3 minutes, every 2 hours, 12x is going to cost you 36 of those 45 minutes (and this then assuming 100% uptime on the XP buff, and that you can be offline during the “third hour” when the buff is gone, but the item is still on cd, and have the timer still decay) … But not counting any of the time spent actually getting the bag in the first place, or the “inefficiency” of being forced to play an alt for 1 of every 3 hours you are online, just for that 3% bonus… And for reference, the time spent getting the bag will dramatically exceed 45 minutes on it’s own.
Steps to get the bag include:
Both Barrens and Westfall (each faction starts in their own area then goes to the other)
Then stonetalon mountains
Then Loch Modan
Then to the Hillsbarad/Arathi Border
The only way the sleeping bag thing is remotely worth it right now, is if the consumables that provide rested xp (24 bars of it), MUST be used before level 40.
In every other scenario, you wait until 40, and go collect it all with your mount, then bank those consumables until like lvl 57

Some people actually enjoy being dry and not smelling like rotten garbage when they play a game, unlike this scenario

And for the record, the real tryhards are going to 25-40 in under 20 hours, maybe even under 17 hours if they went crazy prequesting and got rested xp (there where some weird things with that today where some people had a full level of rested starting from 25)

Especially when you know ppl are already 40 so that “24 hours played” is more than likely broken down into 18 straight hours played, bed, wake up early AF then start again.

bro here wants to RP walk through the quest zones, smell the flowers, give his little dude some in game nap breaks, slowly and piecemeal level up his professions before 40, do 3 days of level 29 WSG then 2 days of level 39 WSG to defend the honor of the alliance.
Anyone not doing this is a disgusting no-life sweatlord.
