Any way to tell which one of your posts was flagged?

Doubt /char

I really hope you’re just trying to wind people up.

The new system is a total joke. I’d copy/paste a hilarious example of a ticket if it were not a “violation” to do so.

Moderation is all over the place and there is no consistency
Its impossible to know because you can get a vacation for “trolling”. What is trolling? Its all on personal opinion of the mods.

I got into a debate with a blue once. Someone in the support forum pointed out how he got suspended for making a small joke in a thread. The blue said that the joke was considered “nonconstructive” per their Code of Conduct. I peeked at the thread and it was FULL of jokes, even way worse ones. I replied and told the blue that we need to be fair. “Nonconstructive” constitutes 90% of the comments made on this forum. His only reply was “It’s probably not quite 90%” and locked the thread rather than eat crow like he should have.

Exactly
There are examples of this all over the place. Its kinda ridiculous for such a popular forum.

There have been a wave of trolls threads that have turned pretty ugly.

Any peacekeeping attempt by regular forum users was met with resistance and quite a few of us got sent a Blue post warning our posts have been removed for trolling.

The fake reports are just the forum trolls trying to have more lol’s at our expense.

Unless you can think of an obvious reason then assume you’ve been false flagged.

Yeah, looking in from the outside I have to agree. I bet the mods feel like they’re babysitters watching over their little raging neckbeards.

But then at the same time some people get silenced for pretty much nothing. I did recently because I made fun of the poor handling of the COVID situation in my country. In a thread about Covid.

And I got in trouble for “trolling.”

That’s the one I quoted with the generic statement.

I agree with you. My statement was more of a suggestion that giving people better visibility would be beneficial in knowing what they did wrong.

I have over 20 years of moderation experience. It’s not that bad. I moderate one of the largest subreddits and only certain world events make it a little busier.

While there are plenty who get flagged for obvious reasons, I’ve seen many who get flagged for no obvious reason. The flag feature was designed to highlight violations however, it’s commonly used as a “I disagree” or “I don’t like you” button. You and your friends can gang up on somebody enough and they will get infracted.
