Hopefully this not a redundant question, but was wondering if there is an app or website or something that outlines the most important/useful/entertaining items in the crafting professions?
Having trouble picking a prof. On one of my alts because I’m not sure what they might offer in the metagame (except for alchemy and leatherworking, I guess).
Thank you!
What is most important/useful/entertaining about a crafting profession is purely subjective, no guide is going to help you with that, it is only going to share the writer’s opinion.
Unless you are raiding regularly enough to earn the raid BoP reagent (and willing to run 15 mythics), the armor crafting professions are not going to be really important / useful unless you want to play the AH markets for 340 ilvl gear.
Alchemy offers an increased duration on flasks you know how to craft, again a raiding perk, though you are generally better off buying flasks and potions rather than the raw herbs to craft them yourself…unless you enjoy gambling.
Inscription might prove interesting, chasing down rare glyphs from previous content. Legion glyphs can still be profitable, especially the rare ones.
Prospecting from jewelcrafting is really only fun in my opinion when you can turn some cheap ore into valuable gems, which I don’t believe is possible at the moment.
At the end of the day, professions are about making gold, not usefulness or entertainment (outside of old engineering content). So unless that is your goal with a crafting profession, you are best off with dual gathering for picking the random herb.
