My account was around since vanilla’s first week, but achievements didnt pop up until WOTL.
Is there any way to view the original date of character or account?

LOL I just got done searching for my info as well! Couldn’t find it but put in for a live chat and bingo. Got my info. Not any characters but got my account creation info. (early 05 over here)
Character, not that I know of. Account used to be possible to find by going to Account info and going back in the Transaction History to the point where you got a free month for purchasing the game.
Yeah it’s not on account info page any more. It’s where I started because mine at one point showed me starting out with a 10 day buddy pass.

I’m so sad I lost my original account. I should have put in a ticket but I was really young and didn’t know it was possible to get a stolen account back. rest in peace birthday 2007 account.
That made me miss the old cool Blizzard when I saw all the “1 day Credit” and “3 days credit” on my account from when they used to give free gametime to all players when their servers were down and we couldn’t play for a night.
