back in legion, there was the tov set that had hoof covers. problem is those hoof covers are no longer on the model for tauren.
really got in the way of making tauren look good.
anyway to make them look good now? the horrible posture is bad enough, but those hooves (or really how cheap all the shoe models look) really make it hard to get a good mog.
Could always look on wowhead to see what other people have come up with if you’re looking for some inspiration. Though generally my rule of thumb for Taurens is to just hide the shoulder armor in general and to go for very little to no chest armor visually.
The heritage armor. Go all chieftain style.
the armor is kind of ugly, especially with how everything looks bad on tauren. Ironically, from the wowhead model viewer, the tauren heritage armor looks great on other races.
Well, the Tauren are a bit funny when it comes to armor (IMO). The males generally look pretty great in plate armor (think warriors and death knights. Some paladin sets could work, but not as well).
But the males don’t look as good in any other types of armor.
The female Tauren sort of has the opposite problem; they go nicely with the stereotypical druid/shaman outfit (tribal-style vest and skirt) in general. Also, they can look decent in lean-looking/slim-looking armor (of any type).
But like Dorrell says, Tauren usually looks the best with no shoulders and no helm (very very few helms actually look good on Tauren, IMO). I usually hide the cloak too.

Completely agree. No way to make a Tauren look good. Half of their armor pieces are obscured or missing.
I think trying to find some inspiration in some of the Tauren NPCs you see, maybe try to replicate and put a spin on it. In a RP sense. I always try to do that. See how “traditional” I can get. Even if you’re a HM and not regular Tauren or the other way around. Would be much more fun with the latter.
Go survival, grab that bone spear from WoD and get your heritage armor. BAM
I think I look cool. 
They look good medium, on a plate, with asparagus spears and a little salt n peppa.
Asparagus? Eeeeew. That stuff tastes like gasoline.

I feel pretty happy with most the mog from trial of valor minus the helm I love my floofy collar keeps me stylish and warm

Even the hoof plates added in legion to make them more interesting don’t work on male tauren anymore.
Try fresh asparagus, it was the vegtable of kings for years and for good reason. Nothing like the fresh kind that was baked while covered in a film of oil.

Step 1: Reroll/pay for recustomization to Blood Elf, Nightborne, or Troll
Step 2: Get an amazing mog
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit
