Any Warlock changes?

So is Warlock just out of luck as far as any QoL changes or damage buffs going into 11.1? 3 dps specs, all performing relatively poorly, none of the specs do decent single target damage, they all do mediocre AoE, are not taken into keys and are only relevant in raid due to utility. At least make one of the specs relevant, please.

Destruction was doing a lot of damage because of the tier set bonus but Blizzard fixed that.

No, you’re just terrible at Warlock. Destro is, and will always be, meta. We do insane AoE damage because of our uncapped Rain of Fire. Our tier set will scale with our CDF cleave. Our single target isn’t the best, but a good player will top the meters.

So yeah, please refrain from shaming warlock just because we’re not enhance shamans. Please and thank you <3

Yea, Im unsure why they chose to nerf both Demo and Destro tier sets. Destro might do well regardless of the nerf, but Demo is dead last at the 99th percentile in the current tier while being 3rd from the bottom at the 95th percentile. While I understand this new tier set may be a lot better than the current one, it has been played in some PTR testing and it is still doing abysmal. We will see if anything comes to fruition.

blizzard dont care about warlocks!

I feel like I hear this almost every major patch’s PTR cycle and then 1-2 Warlock specs end up being meta once again in mythic.

Normally I would agree, but this tier the only encounter where Warlock thrived was Silken Court. Not saying they have to thrive in every encounter, but in every other encounter, only one out of the three specs would even make it to mid of the pack. Meanwhile, you have multiple shaman, mage, rogue and hunter specs on every fight in the top 10. Our boss damage across the encounters is also relatively mediocre, even though I will say Warlock is one of the classes that loses the least ST when adding cleave into their talent builds. The numbers are just not fully there, imo.

This is the end result of the devs deliberately keeping all the warlock specs fairly immobile, and designing encounters around an absolute crapton of forced movement. Sims might have us middle of the pack, but we fall off the hardest when anything actually happens.

I wonder if they’ll finally fix Bane of Havoc… seriously, since expansion LAUNCH, Bane of Havoc doesn’t work with Wither. It only copies the initial damage of applying Wither, but secondary targets affected by Bane don’t receive the damage over time effect.
