I agree!
If you had asked me about TSM during Classic or up to Shadowlands, I would have said nothing is better! I pay for my account.
But it is useless with the Dragonflight crafting interface. The “group setup” does not work correctly, so there is no posting from the established user-created groups on their website.
I still get an error on Bags when I do a shift click to empty my bags. I know it concerns whatever “TAINT” Blizzard has caused. But I know other add-ons who have already fixed the problem. But this is when I finally said ENOUGH—canceling the account and getting other add-ons.
I have reported the bag issue several times, giving them the step-by-step process each time it occurs in their little black in-game box. But I have never seen any changes.
I joined their Discord to see if there was any additional information. Finally, I am hoping to help; in their bug section, I posted the previous steps that caused the error and cut and pasted the printout from BugSack. Something EVERY OTHER ADDON PROGRAMMER wants you to give them. All it got me was someone telling me NEVER to do that again, and they only wanted the step-by-step actions that caused the problems. I was in Black/White Box Testing for years. I don’t know any programmer who does not wish to see the code error AND the steps. I assume they were yelling at me because it was all capital letters.
I left the group that day.
I’m finally replacing TSM with some of these add-ons. I don’t know if they will all work, but I am pretty positive they are all lighter on my system than TSM. I’m sure this will take some tweaking over the next few months.
-
Mail Commander — Not as aggressive as TSM, but still pretty useful.
-
Journalator — Keep track of all my sales and purchases
-
Auctioneer — I used this with great success in Classic, and I see it is back in beta, so I’m hoping. This and Auctionator will give me all the options I need, including tracking the auction prices in my item window. If I remember correctly, there are some sniper features as well. The only difference between this, Auctionator, and TSM is that you HAVE to go to the auction house at the beginning of play time to get current prices since there is no application running on the backside.
-
LinkWrangler — for Auctioneer. It helps to keep track of all the other data information sales history and percentage sold in certain time frames.
-
Accountant — I already use this because I work with the main programmer, who has made changes per my request.
At this point, I don’t think there will be a professions-related addon, at least not one I can find. There are too many Blizzard side problems. Only some crafting items are used if they are in the bank, and it is never consistent. It is nothing like it was in Shadowlands or before.
This could be because they are completely overhauling the banks for The War Within, where we will have combined Alt banks. (YAY!). This may be why all the crafting is done so close to the bank in Valdrakken.
If you don’t mind continuing to read, I wanted to suggest other addons you will probably LOVE!
-
Peta— You know how it is such a pain when you get a pet drop and have it in your pet journal first and then put it in a cage. This addon puts them directly into a cage when they enter your bags.
-
Plumber— This is for the Dream area, where planting dream seeds is the goal. No more opening your bag when you need to plant. When you step next to a mound, you get a small interface with all the available dream seeds to plant. When you click on the plant itself, it gives you another interface to make it easier.
-
Quick Delete—This will save you a lot of time. Why do we have to go through several dialog boxes to delete something when it doesn’t sell and we just want to drop it out of our bags? This gives you one dialog box instantly, and that is it—nothing more. It would be best to be sure that is what you want to delete items. So go slow initially.
I hope these extra suggestions help!
