Any tips for a new Feral Druid in arenas?

Hey there! Just started my feral druid about 3 weeks ago, got geared up, and I’m pushing 2s. Got to 1615 rating pretty easily so I’m feelin the class. But do you guys have any tips or good comp ideas for 3s? I’m wanting to go for glad. Also any neat macros or addons, maybe even weakauras, are all helpful. Also hmu if you’re wanting to do 2s or 3s on NA.

Much love to all you sweats

Hey, I haven’t really started pushing this season yet just conquest capping with r/l friends. Also only really started trying PvP at the end of Shadowlands, but I’ve played Feral a long time. Here’s some random feral knowledge I’ve accumulated.

  • When to refresh dots:

Rake — 4.5 seconds
Rip — 7.2 seconds
Thrash — 4.5 seconds
Moonfire — 4.8 seconds

  • If you use a weakaura to monitor rake dot, use spell ID 155722 so that it doesn’t get confused with rake stun

  • Remove corruption vs shaman to remove hex

  • Use maim every frenzy go, try to get a 2nd maim in between frenzy goes on a non dr’d target

  • You can proc blootalons at max range by moonfire / slash / thrash - slash and thrash don’t actually need to hit anything to proc BT

Rake Macro - uses Tiger’s Fury if you’re in stealth. If you press ctrl then it will stealth/rake stun if you have incarnation up:

#showtooltip Rake
/cast [stealth] Tiger’s Fury
/cast [mod:ctrl] Prowl
/cast Rake

Regrowth / Prowl macro that I use. Out of combat you will prowl. During combat you can use it for your proc’d regrowths. If you’re mouseovering a friendly target it will heal them instead. It prevents you from shifting out of cat form so you can spam it.

#showtooltip
/console autounshift 0
/cast [nocombat, nostealth] Prowl; [@mouseover, help, nostealth][nostealth] Regrowth
/console autounshift 1

  • Casting Tiger’s Fury out of form will put you immediately into cat form

That’s all off the top of my head, I’m sure there’s more - would love to see what other people have learned as well.

It always amazes me how many career challengers get on their class they just leveled and geared that just so conveniently happens to be “S tier” in some streamers YouTube video where their face looks like a TBI patient to try and attract more views and say this exact quote: “I’m really liking this class, and starting to get the feel for it, can I get some tips because I’m trying for glad.”

Don’t they teach realistic goal setting anymore? Whatever happened to pushing 2k for the first time. Then 2.2k etc…. Like I get some classes just shoot right past those plateaus not by skillful plays but because the class is just dumb broken, but still…… challenger to glad in one season?

Homie chill out like damn. I said I’m pushing. Not that im for sure getting it. It’s called trying my man. If I don’t get it, oh well, that’s okay lol. But it’s called trying. Putting in the effort.

Also feral is by no means S-Tier. Prob like mid-A. There are way better classes I could be playing.

Appreciate those macros. Never thought about a few of those. Thanks man

He said feral is mid A teir :joy:

Hi Rokkon,

This doesn’t work, any ideas why? I just want TF when raking out of stealth only.

#showtooltip Rake
/cast [stealth] Tiger’s Fury
/cast Rake

BTW I removed the control modifier part of the macro.

Thanks!

This is 2 years old my dude. Rokkon hasn’t even been on the forums since July

Also, I looked into it. Here’s why your macro isn’t working

Yup, the forums formatted the apostrophe. This is why code blocks are important.

#showtooltip Rake
/cast [stealth] Tiger's Fury
/cast Rake

Thank you so much, I will give this a try!
