and why?

for me it’s gotta be arcane mage. I love the idea but the talent tree is so poorly designed that I just simply don’t want to play it. I don’t want to deal with touch of the magi or nether tempest, or all these low impact buttons that clutter the rotation to such a point that I have to memorize a two page guide just for the burst rotation. No thanks. Worst talent tree in the game by far.

Healer specs in general. I just dont enjoy the role.

There are classes I won’t play, not so much specs.

Like with Warrior, if arms is meta then I’ll plays arms. Else if it’s fury I’ll play fury. Sadly Blizzard ruined Warrior for me so I shelved it until I care again.

ANY mage.
ANY warlock.
ANY evoker.
ANY rogue.
ANY non-tank Druid spec.
Elemental shaman.

I’m not a fan of the current state of Fury. I am NOT referring to damage… they can do damage. I am referring to how clunky the “sit with nothing to do for multiple seconds every minute” feels.

Prot is fun though! Sure we’re not the most damage. But man, NOTHING in a sub-20 key, and I mean nothing… no boss… no mob… no mechanic… can kill me.

I die as Prot warrior when I choose to (or more accurately, when I make a colossal set of mistakes back to back to back without support). :smiley:

Anything with an Energy bar. It just can’t get it to work for me. It’s like if I can press a button, my brain says press the button regardless of it’s gonna screw things up or not.

Unholy DK, fury warrior, fire mage, sub rogue, demo warlock. have never in all of WoWs history enjoyed those specs

Disc, Mistweaver, and Holy Paladin when it comes to healing.
Arcane, Sub, Outlaw, and Arms when it comes to DPS.
I’ll do some content as Prot for guildies, but avoid tanking like the plague.

Fury is what ultimately made me hang it up. And it’s been like that for three(?) expansions now? The mindlessness of it. Who thought a 3 second buff to manage would be fun?

Arms was destroyed when they added Colossal Smash. I know that was a long time ago but I’m still bitter. Nevermore were the days of Vanilla/TBC/Wrath Mortal Strike. When you felt like a true Warrior, not some spread out damage noodle.

Protection is by far my favorite spec but without a DPS spec I just can’t. I like having efficiency in all of the content I do. For group content that means tanking/healing (For queue times) and for solo content that means mega damage.

Rest in peace my Warrior characters. May Blizzard shine the light on you in due time.

Affliction plays like garbage compared to Shadow so yeah… will never go there.

I also think Arcane Mage and Enhancement shaman is ridiculous for a rotation so I stay away.

Oh yeah…

Demo Warlock. I think the spec has sucked 90% of the Warlocks development resources just to still be a spec that was ultimately 10x better 10 years ago. The Fel Guard’s shared CD system on its spells is clunky af and Summon Tyrant is lame in 90% of content. Destro is half as complicated and twice as fun.

Arcane sadly. Went from a spec I’d play regardless, like Legion launch when 99.9% of Mages were Fire, to a spec I would like to see catch Fire and burn to ashes. I think Arcane has done to Mage what Demo has down to Warlock. Resource hogged.

Sub Rogue. I hate when my action bars change. I know I could put in the effort to style them so stealth vs unstealth is the same, but it’s just not comfortable to me.

Any Evoker Spec.
Any DH Spec.

Any spec that uses an utility spell as part of its rotation (evocation, vanish, vengeful retreat, etc.). Whoever came up with this design should be put in front of the hague

I like simply and easy stuff.

Most of them. I just play one character and will never understand how anyone can just switch over to something else. I earned everything I have on my main, it cannot ever be switched.

For me it’s the Mage. If you are playing a Mage you HAVE to kite and you HAVE to wear a long dress. I mean really, no Mage is going to wear tights or a mini. So how do you kite without tripping on the long dress you are wearing? It’s impossible !!!

Energy/Combo point specs. Absolutely hate them. Not really a fan of hunter focus resource either but it’s not nearly as bad.
