Any spec have a slight upper-hand?

I’m leveling my mage at the moment as fire and it feels pretty strong but i heard frost and arcane was better. I noticed there is a huge variety of mage specs in raids that I tank. Any spec have a slight upper-hand at the moment? thanks

For Mythic + above lets say… +13 you should want frost all day. Below that Fire has its uses as well, for an aoe Dragons breath to mess up a cast time on some adds, or even during Reaping when they are all stacked casting Grave Bolts that’ll delay the cast a bit. Living Bomb is hilarious with combustion in reaping packs.

Raiding, Normal / heroic its really what ever you like to play for mage. In Mythic progression, aside from Grong and Jadefire, Fire is probably the best spec for the execute it has in the last 30%, unless your guild doesn’t have a frost mage for blockade you would need to be frost for that too.

In Mythic all three specs are very situational. In Normal and Heroic it doesn’t matter that much.
