I realize this must get asked a lot - and I apologize for asking again - but I don’t follow WoW that closely anymore. Have there been any rumors/chatter regarding the potential launch of a fresh vanilla classic server?
I’ll be honest - I do not understand why Blizzard doesn’t just do this every 6 months or so; I mean, the payoffs seem obvious, and the costs would (one would assume) be justified.
I’m not a big fan of the game after TBC - it had its moments, but it was never really the same. So the “current” WotLK/heading into Cata servers don’t interest me. Similarly, the long list of actual vanilla servers seem to be virtually dead (I logged onto about 6 last night, did a /who 60, and came up with a list of about 10 people per server).
I’d love to level a little healer and just enjoy the rush of a fresh game… but the idea of trying to solo-slog to 60 on a nearly-dead server has no appeal.
Thanks for any replies.

Nope, SoD would be your closest bet to a newly launched server. But that’s a whole other beast.
If you’re looking for fresh Vanilla, a community organized fresh reroll just started on Deviate Delight about 2-3 weeks ago.
If you’re looking for populated vanilla servers, Mankirk and Whitemane are the most popular, but far from fresh.
Then there’s the guild I’m a part of on Grobbulus just doing our own thing as one of two guilds in the server, just finishing Naxx progression (but still not quite farm status) but that’s not likely what you’re after
No perfect solution for you. IMO official fresh 60 vanilla servers are a back pocket stimulus boost when they run out of steam and need new subs. That means at least post-cata classic, post SOD, IMO.

Thanks for the reply, man (and truly thank you for not being a dick - I know people must come here asking this twice a week or more, and I bet it gets annoying). I will definitely check out those options. +1.
