Any rogues switching specs

Ive been 99% of the time an outlaw rogue since legion after co-maining a sub rogue since vanilla because i didnt like or even understand the way it played after the big update in the prepatch.

Ive made 2 rogues since then and got them both to some level below max but haven’t tried them since shadowlands started, so i had 1 of each spec because i like playing them as almost different classes since some specs of some classes dont play remotely the same.

I havent really had a problem with outlaw except losing cool abilities at the end of legion and some small other gripes. But now i cant really get the newest form of it to click for me is any other outlaw players changing spec for a simular reason or have the other 2 specs also been more or less ruined or changed in terms of fun also?

I dunno, having 7 combo points and 4 reprimanding echo points is really fun.

I’m having a great time as outlaw.

Buuuutttt my assassination rogue has both echo and that maldraxxus bone spike thing, vs smaller groups they seem to be very strong.

Both specs feel like they are in a good place right now.

I loved Sub rogue till they introduced that uh… whatever the skill is called that lets you use stealth abilities out of stealth. Everything became balanced around that and I really lost interest in sub after that. Haven’t really been able to get into rogue since then, whenever that was. Feels like ages ago at this point.

Outlaw feels extremely fun to me right now.

I was enjoying outlaw in SL up until prepatch killed my tier set.

I have not yet touched the talent tree or the spec and I’m a bit hesitant. I’m hoping shadow dance (in the class tree) doesn’t become meta at some point because I hate it. I’m also hoping there isn’t too much button bloat. Playing outlaw during SoD, while fun, had like 14 buttons.

Also, what happened to wrecking crew? I wanted my first but of raid utility in 20 years.

If outlaw doesn’t pan out I may be maining warrior for fury and prot.

i like outlaw but watching it get destroyed on big pulls by basically everyone (including tanks) has me a bit worried

They seem to be capping everyone’s aoe again, so maybe that will be in outlaw’s favour.

As someone who doesn’t usually play rogue at all, Outlaw rogue is a lot of fun for me to the point where I’m considering maining it.

I’m staying with Assassination; it’s working fine for me.

Is It still poison bleed stab stab stab poison bleed stab stab stab?

I know its not really that easy but more or less the basics

I am going to go Evoker spec rogue and try to oil my blades… then rub them together to cast fire at people from the same range!

What’s this newest form that’s messing with you OP?

Assassination forever!

Assassination only spec worth playing imo

Sin is the biggest victim of button bloat in DF. HOWEVER, if the tuning stays the way they are, sin will be the absolute pinnacle of rogue single target damage.

Outlaw apparently lives or dies by the Precise Cuts talent, and thus excels at low target cleave. They also aren’t as RNG now with RtB, which is nice. However, all that is just what I’ve been hearing and not what I experience, since I’ve never cared about that spec.

Sub, though? Sub is absolutely beautiful with TFD, Danse Macabre, and SecTech. Number-wise it needs a little bit of love, and there’s one pretty bag bug with SecTech not benefitting from a few key talents, but overall the spec is just so on-demand and so fluid.

Yes. :dracthyr_love_animated:

that was me in s4. i’d never been able to get into any rogue spec previously (and i’d been trying off and on since cata) but outlaw just felt excellent. i’m still getting used to the changes but i still dig it.

Pretty much, and when I get my poison capstone it will be

Poison, poison, bleed stab stab stab repeat.
