(TL;DR at the bottom.)
Any reason why we can’t have a different voice language and text language at the same time?
I just want to hear the characters speak the haha funny spaghetti language while I read what the hell they are actually saying via English subtitles.
I tried to do such, changing the voice language and keeping the text language, all via the battle.net client game settings, since of course, the only in-game language settings available are the text ones.
I finished downloading the voice data for Japanese and finally booted up WoW, and guess what? The voices were still in English. Surprise surprise!
Blizzard, if you’re going to give us the option to “change” voice and text languages separately, then why not, I don’t know, go through with it? Why give us the illusion of choice if you cannot change the voice language unless you also change the text language as well? It really doesn’t make any sense.
I know probably nobody actually cares about anything I’m saying right now, but I just wanted to vent.
Thanks.
TL;DR: When you change the voice language settings, the voices stay the same as before unless you change the text language settings too, and I dislike that.
