Any reason we can't transfer our remix char to retail now instead of waiting until it ends?

Not entirely passionate over it but just something that came up in a discussion, doesn’t it sorta seem like a slam dunk to allow players who have already obtained all the items/mounts/transmogs they want from remix to continue playing the character on the most recent patch of retail and enjoy awakened?

If I had to take a guess, technical limitations. Probably something they already have coded to do once the event ends and doing it earlier would cause problems

I wonder if they’ve even got that part implemented.
They could have just told us yes and then hope they get it sorted before the event ends.

I swear I heard it mentioned they already tested during PTR moving a char from remix > retail so it’s already sorted out.

I mean….this is Blizz we are talking about. I could easily see a bug of something like “when you transfer a character from Remix to Retail the cloak loses all of its stats for characters still on Remix”

My guess would be cuz thats how the event works, your toon dont transfer till its over
