Hi all, just wondering if there is any situation rupture would be useful in. It doesn’t do much damage, so it feels like my points are better spent saved for a shadow dance eviscerate. The only reason I can think of to use this ability is to stop restealths. Am I missing anything else? Thanks!
Ya you basically have is correct, I only use it to stop restealths

I don’t play sub so maybe this is wrong.
But I believe Rupture does more damage overall than evis. But that means it’s only ever worth it if you have absolute confidence it will last it’s full duration, or it’s going to break someone trying to restealth.
It’s also a way to “layer” delayed damage, which can have some uses, but generally is hard to do well and largely depends on tricking the enemy healer or them just being bad.

If you can get enough time on target, without them bubbling or whatever, you can apply garrote, rupture, mark of death, and tap exsanguinate and burn them down a bit. Don’t think it is optimal but it is fun if it goes off. It doesn’t usually. But. Anyway, on its own, preventing re-stealths, sure. Otherwise, it is part of the rogue ramp up. Which in PVP we don’t usually get time to do. Not like on a standing-in-place PVE boss where you have 10 seconds to get a rotation going.
is nice to pre rupture kidneys sometimes if you can’t seem to kill, besides that yea unless you’re a dark brew talent build where it makes it shadow and do a lot of damage, just filler but secret technique is almost getting prio over evis now. it’s hitting really hard.
What’s the highest you’ve seen secret tech hit for?
200k practically, rog was a darkbrew danse build no rotten or invig shadows
Wow! I watched one of pika’s videos on yt and he was struggling to make secret tech do anything.

any tips on solo shuffle? I keep getting ran through and cannot seem to put out enough damage in the very small windows that I have.

just keep qn you’ll eventually figure out how to get that damage in those windows, reps. each class, spec even has certain things you have to learn to beat them

dude idk been fooling around with similar build he had im hitting it around 100k avg but yea he was cooked. most potent go ive seen and is ready every 45 secs just cant vanish symbols back anymore or other things, not sure if tradeoffs worth but its layin it down when its off cd

If you’re in a situation where you aren’t taking a lot of damage (e.g. evasion is up and you’re fighting a melee class or you’re beating on a healer and your dances are on CD) then it makes sense to use it to spend combo points and add a little bit of extra pressure. It will do more damage than Evisc outside of dance.
