Op,do what you to do in game .There are two side on their suggestion to be considered . They only wish the best for you and they are being sarcastic ,in gd, it’s mostly the later, in all it is totally up to you.
The people in your dungeon queues or bg queues makes it so you are not playing solo. You are playing WITH people. It is really not hard to understand. I know you probably call them bots in chat. But they are real people.
Look dude. Just admit hes right sao he will go away you two have been going in a 360 for the past 30min. 30min later and you are back where you started. You will make 0 progress with this guy. Hes a troll
Im not responding to him for a reason.
The Flying Machine, which is on the box art was released in WotLK. Also, there was aerial combat at release, but they scrapped it because everyone hated it and it was buggy as hell.
LOL are you on team “I am playing with 15 people but I am still a solo player?”
No, it really is hard to understand because I don’t even know what your point is anymore. The queue system was put in the game for the solo player.
LFR, dungeon finder, random BGs are all for people that fly solo.
They scrapped it before the game released. And still sold it on the box art. So it was never in the game. Aka the box art was still wrong.
Alright my dude. You’re right. Have a better day.
No you look. You’re not my father and you’re not a CM. I can have a discussion with whomever I want in any thread I want as long as I’m not breaking any forum rules. If I’m bothering you so much, just put me on ignore.
And yeah I’m done with both of them because if he wants to talk about flying machines in Wrath and how using a solo queue system some how doesn’t make me a solo player even though that was the entire purpose behind it was then I really don’t have anything else to say to him anymore.
They’re now both on ignore so you can stop trying to parent me.
I’m guessing the aerial combat was in the beta and was cut due to problems in the testing they couldn’t correct before launch .
Honestly, I suggest both on ignore it will save you from the headaches afterwards.
Parenting someone and telling to tell a chum “look buddy your getting trolled” are two differant things. I would have said the same thing to my own brother. Dont always take someone looking out for you as “parenting”
I get it though man. You were trying to have a legit convo with logical responses. He was never doing that though man. He was trolling. You finally ended the Circle he was trying to keep going though. So good on you for that.
Sadly the only way to defeat a troll is to not respond to them. Which is why I will not respond to anything he says
Yeah I am adding Tovi, just wanted to see if this convo was going to come to some conclusion but instead became “Wow is meant to be played as solo(Solo definition:done by one person alone; unaccompanied.)” Follow by “If I can queue up for it and I play with 5-40 other people its still solo”
Then I have people going “Oh yeah sure buddy” Like actually idiots.
Actually,it is both solo and multi-player it was design to be that way. You play solo in the world and progress to team work ,this way you get use to rotations and spells while leveling.
I’m not going to label someone a troll just because they disagree with me. Even if they aggressively disagree with me.
You linked the picture. You are the one that’s struggling to understand a comment talking about generalities.
Like seriously stop playing victim.
Now days I feel there is definitely an argument to be made that open world is solo content. As blizzard has drastically change how they have developed solo content from classic when the original link box art came from. I very much disagree that classic was develop to play solo. Now you can play a lot of stuff solo that is not what I am saying again. But the way it was sculpted heavily emphasize the need for other players. Making it a game that is meant to be played with others.
And I would argue classic leveling experience is just so much better then open world content and leveling content we have now days that has been designed to cater towards a solo audience.
And this statement I feel rings true as the more they try to cater to a solo audience in the worse the open world content gets. I mean there is many many many other issues on top of it. But it ultimate hurts it imo. So I am not saying the solution is just make every retail quest force people to group up. As in a void with a bunch of other bad changes it wouldn’t fix anything.
So in light of this, are there really any distinction between classic and retail questing then? I take a quest ,which is technically a solo ,in a multi-player world being shared by both classic toons and retail,I really don’t see the difference.
This game has a tonne of older folks. Way older than you even OP.
Not sure what you are asking… is it ok to be a solo player?
Ask yourself, why would it NOT be ok…
If you enjoy what you do in the game then that is all that matters.
There are a group of people who think MMO means strictly group content while it is merely you playing in the same world as many other people.
WoW was/is mainly a group oriented game. But the team has admitted on wanting to work on more solo content and open world content… frankly t here has never been more than in DF.
There are some that will also say to go play something else like I tell others because WoW in general just isn’t a well done solo, open world type of game. It all feels very bare bones, and not enjoyable and even rewarding…
Moral of the story, stop caring, or listening to what others tell you regarding a play style.
Azeroth is a big place and you have people solely fishing, gathering herbs, role playing, … heck we have a panda who levels just by picking herbs. So all playstyles are kinda welcomed and none should have legitimate push back. The only push back you’ll get is from yourself, allowing yourself to be affected by what some rando’s say.
Dig deeper then surface level. Ease of questing is a big difference. If you honestly can tell me questing feels similar from classic to retail. Well I will know the conversation ends as I have level probably around 40 characters in retail over the years and many in classic. The difference is evident just from playing.
