This would be the most cancerous thing I can imagine. Just picture it now, streamers with their 100 man zergs just scorch earthing each zone without any counter play possible.
People play in zergs even on normal servers where there is no risk of permadeath, but this… this will be a hundred times worse.
This ONLY makes sense if PVP deaths never count in any way shape or form including any of the absurd ideas about looting players, losing XP etc. WoW PVP is in no way shape or form fair in Vanilla.
Some class matchups are free kills until level cap and geared. What could a level 26 Warrior do against a level 36 Hunter? Nothing at all.
In addition to what the above poster said about deathballs just zerging through a zone which would be hilarious to watch but not much fun to lose to that.
There are other individuals that have expressed an interest in HC PVP here in the forum. I understand it is not something you’re interested in but OP is scouting for support not trying to tear down what Blizzard has already proposed.
I believe being permaflagged on the servers Blizz has in mind now could work so I won’t personally advocate for this option but I do give kudos to the OP for trying to build up his community without attempting to tear others down.

If they can not group, there will be no zerg. I would find such a realm funny, but I doubt enough players would go there.

I do! I totally get why the average HC player wouldn’t, though. NPCs are a challenge you can control. Enemy players are a challenge you can only try to prepare against. Personally I think that HC PvP on a balanced server would be one of the most engaging ways of playing the game. No trading, no dungeons, no battlegrounds. Just questing, grinding, and fearing for your life lol. It would make the open world feel fully alive in a brand new way.
And I think people would create their own group content. You wouldn’t be spamming /1 to find people for Wailing Caverns or Blackfathom Deeps anymore. You might instead spam /1 to form a travelling party to help brave the dangers on the way to Ratchet. Maybe we could finally stop grinding low level mobs alone if you basically need a group just to get around and survive.
Would the servers die immediately? Probably. And then the whole challenge would be gone. So I can see why they wouldn’t do it but… a girl can dream lmao
I would only be interested in one if it was all-out pvp in contested zones. That means, you are fair game to anybody, even someone of your own faction. You are safe in non-contested zones, from those in your guild, from those in your group, and in dungeons/raids…but there has to be a trade off, like 5x experience gain. Also, if someone of the same faction kills someone else from their same faction, they become kos to guards for the next 24 hours.
It’s not just you. I would like to see it but I know it won’t happen. There’s too small a population and without the proper preventatives in place it would be a rampant gank fest until that population dies or sits solely on one faction.
That said, I would be fine with PvP on the official server currently but the disabling of honor gain most likely kills the want for a lot of people… Though I do have some server event ideas I want to implement after a while into the HC life.
A War Campaign of sorts, a battle once monthly announced well in advance to give players time to level characters solely for the purpose of fighting during the event.

Would actually be amazing, but a ton of work and solutions would have to be implemented. Top of mind is rogue and Druid would be 80% of the player base once you got to lvl 20

Increase mob and quest xp by 1000% and it would work. Fast leveling, but fast deaths.
Makes me think about the Everquest pvp servers. They had a tenth of the PvE population. Its not worth the server cost. I like PvP but a HC PVP server is inviting frustration.
HC pvp is one of those things that look good on paper but comes out to be a travesty
I did kill the undead rogue trying to trick hcers to buff their flagged alt.
They pulled that same trick on me, and I got the chance to kill them on my non-HCer.
My guildie isn’t HC but was trying to help other HCers, so we baited them to attack our non-HC guildie (like they do with their alt), and we popped out of hiding.
I’m satisfied. Especially since they kept running away from a more even and fair challenge. With our guild name, maybe they’ll think twice, next time.
