I have a vanilla account and I wanted to come back for Dragonflight. My bank and all of its items/bags are gone. I don’t mean, I have been hacked gone. I mean rebuy your bags gone. Feels like my bank has been reset to a brand new character.
Did anyone else get welcomed back with this?
Well items just dont suddenly go poof theres a cupple of posibiliities.
You didnt think u were coming back and sold it all or gave it away woudlnt be the first time.
You say bank do u mean personal bank or guild bank if it was guild bank is it possible someone in the guild cleared it out.
Im assuming ur looking at the right account correct.
Unfortunately unless it was done withing hte last couple of months anything thats not achievement related will probably be uncrecoverable this kinda logs only last a few months before being purged.
Yeah, I remember my main, came back on and off for plenty of the expansions. Bank was fully intact. This bank absolutely went poof.
Let’s say you are right though I had a stroke, forgot I sold everything and deleted the unsellable.
Why do I have to rebuy the bag slots that I absolutely bought over 4 expansions?
That shoudlnt be possible that kinda thing shouldnt happen on its own that would require a dev intervention.
You got it, refer to the first post. It is absolutely infuriating. I had so many OG collectibles and TGC loots chilling in there. Oof and old raid sets so many things I was hoping to see again.
As for the raid sets that should be avalable as a xmog provided u learnt them when xmog went live.

I’m glad you found your mogs, but assuming you haven’t recovered anything else yet, I’d like to suggest that this might just be a display issue.
Try a full (easily reversible) UI reset, including the advanced troubleshooting options at the bottom of the article. Make sure that any addon managers you might used are either disabled, or set to not auto-launch and auto-update your addons… otherwise they’ll sneak back in there before you have a chance to check for your bags and inventory items on a clean, fresh UI:
