Any older crowd who are not about pushing content playing?

My goal is to do each mythic dungeon once, clear heroic raid and do some mythic bosses. and make lots of gold. Lots and lots of gold.

I’m playing pretty casually, probably been so since MoP.

I’m not ‘older’ lol, I’m just 30 years old. 90’s kid.

I have not raided seriously since Wrath and Cataclysm, just because I got bored of it, no more IRL friends that play with me, etc.

All I do these days is LFR and queueable content for PvE. I still enjoy it for what it is.

Just finished TWW Loremaster today, like an hour ago.

PvP is the only thing I take semi-seriously anymore, getting 1800 in RBG or Shuffle for the elite sets for transmog.

Never really got into M+, but not for a lack of trying. There’s just billions of DPS with established scores, and playing a tank/healer is the only way to speed up the process, I might do this on my next alt after this Hunter. I’d like that M+ mount.

I think PvE in WoW has kinda ‘fallen off’ for me, not sure why. I enjoy the world content, but I think that’s where I stop. The PvE gear treadmill does not interest me, mostly because it’s just not PvP gear I can actually use lol.

But yeah, I don’t really push anymore, aside from PvP.

Have been thinking much about getting back into it, though. On a healer/tank alt.

Would always be down for a M0 world tour or something, just hmu in-game or w.e.

My raiding is in cata. I havent really raided in retail since original cata. I havent finished the story yet in retail so only have lvl 3 delves unlocked but am looking forward to higher levels.

I see a lot of people who are more like what I do these days are any of you recruiting for a nice casual guild cause I am looking for a good fit

I have the time to no life the game right now, but I don’t. You have to play in a really try hard way to keep up with the Jones’ in this game now.

You have to be farming every single source of gear in the game and crafting and joining Heroic raid pugs nonstop and sitting on wait lists and farming crests. It’s too sweaty I can’t play like that. All of it is just to look good on the meter too. Then when you get beat by someone else you’re like oh, welp, I guess I suck.

One of my guilides is doing that, he’s far ahead of everyone else in damage. But when he joins other Heroic pugs, he gets beat by Sub Rogue which is complete trash middle of the pack.

to be honest it’s not about the age , I can argue that older people have their kids grown up and more available time to nolife the game . it’s all about your mentality and where you are in life . personally i am not sure if i can work , go home , take care of the family and then grind daily for two hours before going to sleep. it’s very hard to keep up with people who play all day .

As someone who just hit 50 and streams on Twitch, I am the epitomy of casual. I have 4 80s, working on number 5, have not touched a heroic or mythic. Only run delves and world quests in current content, but enjoy taking a lower level Druid on my EU account back through every zone and all the lore to share with new and old players alike. I love the game, but am not in love with pushing content. We have two years in this expac and it is only just beginning. No interest in burning myself out, or dealing with speed demons and elitists. Follower content, WQs, and Delves are just fine with me.

Does anyone have any guild openings for someone like me who just wants to be casual and play some content no hard core pushing

Yeah we need Priest, Monk or Hunter, dps.

I’m still learning how to be an older gamer
lol. I really do want to push keys, or be a PvP god, but I just don’t have the same hand/eye co-ordination or reaction speed to avoid all the nasty damage, or to re-target something fast enough for a key interrupt/cc. This is stuff I used to do no problem, just doesn’t happen anymore. So I just stick to lower level stuff now because any time a mechanic is failed the group just disbands these days when doing keys and I’d rather not waste my time with that.

Yup. Late 40s here.

I do whatever whenever I’m on. Professions for fun, sometimes I profit. I goofed around with delves but not pushing the content. 5 80s and counting.

I’m having difficulty keeping up with mechanics in general. Without an armada of addons everything feels like complete chaos these days.

I know i can go play classic but that story never evolves. I would very much like an alternate universe version of the game that is a slower pace and a different story.

I am 72, I’ve been playing for about a year and a half. I’ve seen several guilds advertised for casual players, but I mostly just keep to myself unless one of the grandkids is online.

I thought the XP buff stopped at 20%?

i never do hardcore stuff too much stress just to entry way stuff and call it a day.
on here there’s a lot of things going on and i’m just not gonna try and keep up.
still mainly a classic player so at least i got that (tbc pls blizz) if i want a slower pace but still.

FFXIV is fake nice tho. It’s like having fake friends that talk mad crap behind your back. There’s more cat fighting drama There especially the RP servers Mateus and Balmung then here.

I’m almost 46 and similar to you, maybe even less so since I don’t do much even in even normal raids or mythics at all. I play solo a lot lately since I never know if I have to get up at a moments notice but I’m fine solo or small groups the odd time. To me I play to unwind so that generally means solo and working on rep, quests, dailies, etc where I can play at my pace.

Guild I am in is great and no pressure on anyone and all play styles welcome. This guild is what has kept me in WoW.

I was just talking to my friend about this the other day while we were doing random dungeons and were seeing how some of the (clearly new) players were treated. Our healer didn’t know how to do Dawnbreaker or where to fly, etc. and I wanted to take 2 min to explain so he could learn, however since I was the main tank I am expected to zoom at breakneck speed and NOT STOP for anything.

He didn’t know to fly off the ship when the boss is doing the big purple bubble and died. You know how the group responded? Vote kicked him. I felt so bad.
