If they were going to make aug a tank spec, the rest of the SC and CW trees make no sense for them, so I’d very much doubt it. These are also shared trees, so they wouldn’t really tailor that much of them to a dramatic shift.
Something drastic like that would likely have been one of the first things introduced for testing after the gigantic cluster that introducing aug late made.
These DR abilities in every tree are just some good QoL for the specs.
