Any little quirky "finds" in Dornogal yet?

Valdrakken had:

  • The bridge that triggered an extra action button to throw a toy duck into the water, but only if you walked across it without a mount.
  • The Bubble Tea shop with the interactable tea that made you float for a bit.
  • The Cafe or whatever that let you move it to a “private” phase for RP or whatever.
  • The cute interaction between the two Dracthyr getting used to their Visage forms (I forget their names, but it was something that triggered the first time you walked near them on a character and that’s it).
  • The guy reading the Steamy Romance Novel to a crowd.

Boralus had:

  • The Cat House with dozens of pettable cats (and Pepe helmet I think?)
  • The Dog House with the same (sans Pepe).
  • A bar with a vendor selling (IIRC) unique drinks and an interactable one on the counter (forget what it did, if anything).
  • The NPCs playing Dungeons & Dragons in the cellar beneath the hedge maze.
  • That cozy as heck little fireplace/not-quite-gazebo area with the cellar around the corner where one of the workers would go down there and flirt with a dude then come back.
  • The tavern with the bard playing music.

Does Dornogal have any of this kind of little charming stuff to find? I did a once-over and went into what I think was every area and building and didn’t find a single interesting NPC interaction or interactable item (not counting a couple profession clickables that are just one-time profession knowledge freebies) or even just a notably interesting area. Like the city overall looks nice but it just doesn’t feel like it has anything to find, ya’ know?. Heck, a good portion of the NPCs don’t even have interact voice lines, not even generic ones.

Curious if I missed anything.

I know we had Oribos between these 2 and that one AFAIK didn’t have much of anything, but I mean, it was an Airport. Dornogal feels much more like a lived-in city more akin to Boralus and Valdrakken, it has a bunch of irrelevant flavor vendors and NPCs moving around, yet it’s just as soulless as Oribos as far as I can tell, so far.

Edit: I know about the smasher. There’s an achievement for it. I don’t really count an achievement thing as part of this category but it’s probably the most interesting part I’ve seen, I guess.

I know this is an older topic, but:

  • Go down the alleyway with the portal to the spider zone and there is a rat you can pick up and he sits on your shoulder.
  • All around the Foregrounds are vendors that sell interesting little grey items with fun flavor text and stuff.
  • Stand near the trading post and Skitter (our kobold friend) comes up to discuss things he wants to order. I think other NPCs do too!

There are a number of Dalaran NPCS that have relocated to Dornogal.

  • /way 58.42, 64.94 - Giada Goldleash talking the new pet shop owner’s ear off
  • /way 47.23, 42.33 Abohba (the horde innkeeper I think?) and her two dogs, she tells you about her experiences in Dalaran’s fall

Outside of Dornogal:

  • You can ride the airships in Hallowfall  and you can ride the rickshaw around the city of threads’ high hallows area
  • TONS of little vendors in city of threads that have interesting items for purchase or unique dialog.
  • in Merendal the capital city of Hallowfall in the main square there are numerous groups of NPCs that have fun dialog with each other. Friends from past expacs and stuff. It’s great stuff.

I’ve found a bunch of other ltitle things but I can’t remember them all right now. ^^;

All sorts of Dalaran survivors are in the camps scattered around Azj’kahet, adventurers in Mereldar, and there’s the Uncrowned in a hidden pub at the top of the city playing strip hearthstone.

  • There are cats everywhere in Dornogal. They are called “Mouser” and some of them have dead mice around them, because in the minds of the Earthen that’s their Edict.
  • The main inn in Dornogal has booths that two people can sit at side by side by interacting with the bench. All the other bench-like seating in the game will only allow one person to sit on it in the middle. A cat can also settle on the armrest of the bench sometimes.
  • There are the large public bathing pools at the ground level, but some Earthen have private hot tubs on the upper levels
  • I’ve seen two separate groups of adventurer NPCs wandering around Mereldar having conversations. In one the Night Elves are attempting to convince the Arathi that Night Elves lay eggs down people’s necks :dracthyr_uwahh_animated: The other party has a bird (I can’t remember if it’s a peacock or a turkey) as a member.
  • I’ve also seen Sunwalker Dezco and a Zandalari woman visit the city and have a conversation about Beledar
  • You can buy candles from at least one vendor in Hallowfall that you can set out on objects and the ground

The innkeeper will react to you appearing from your heartstone with a sigh, gasp, or some other sound.

Has anybody mentioned the huge press in the blacksmithing area?

Stand underneath it. It gives you candy.

Found the faithful dog event.
I’m not a dog person but that really hit hard.

From the Farm to the Garrison to Dalaran to the wreckage on the shore … so much history.

I have done all of the things with dog through all the expansions, but the wreckage event isn’t showing up for me. :frowning: Has anyone else had this problem and/or know how to get it to show up?

It is per character, so you’ll want to make sure that you’re on the character who found Dog in Pandaria, brought Dog to your Garrison, and then brought Dog to Legion Dalaran. You can check to see if this was the case by going to legacy Legion Dalaran and seeing if Dog is in the pet shop on the character that you’re on.

If he is, you can go to the wreckage area even after you get out of it and move on to Dornogal. You’re looking for a dog bowl to click on which is pretty small and almost unnoticeable:

If he isn’t, then check your Garrison. If he’s there, you need to get a Pebble (off the AH is fine, it doesn’t get used by the questline and people typically sell them pretty cheap) to show to the Dog to get it to go to Legion Dalaran. That should be fine to get the dog bowl to show up!

She was the assistant. Uda the beast was the innkeeper for Horde with her worgs. In Wrath Dalaran she would invite you in but if you caused a problem she would feed you to the worgs. She was probably the longest running innkeeper being even part of Isle of Thunder. Sadge she is gone and her worgs I’m sure miss her.

I found a rather smashing find in the main city.

Hurt just a bit…

Louie the Dense! My goblin tried to pick him up because she thought she saw a $20 bill underneath him. But then she discovered it was only an envelope, though there could still be a $20 inside it in a birthday card or something. Need to start lifting if I can’t even lift one fat cat

You cannot sit on cats in the Dornogal Inn. You can’t pet them too! They are working mousers keeping Dornogal free of mice. They need to be sent to the Exodar and Silvermoon City to rid those areas of their mice infestation.
