Any list for pets that be obtained as a rare?

Hello there, everyone!

I want to spend some upgrade stones on my pets that can’t be obtained as a rare and must be upgraded(quest, achiev rewards, etc.). Does anyone know of a list out there that I could sort or filter to get this information? It would save me a bunch of time not having to search each pet in question out.

Thanks for your time!

I thought it would be easy to generate such a list from WarcraftPets.com and Xu-Fu’s. but not quite.

There may be a way to do it on WCP, but I can’t find a way to filter by Base Quality.

You definitely can by looking up your collection on Xu-Fu’s at

and clicking the “OPEN IN EXCEL” button

but I find too many "Unknown"s in the Default Quality column, for pets whose base quality is definitely known. Is the import glitchy?

Combine it with Source and Tradeable and that will certainly give you a big start, though.

I wonder if you couldn’t use some of the filters provided by the Rematch addon to get part way there as well? If you filter Sources to Vendor/Achievement/etc (whichever specifically you want to look for, there are many options), and Rarity to all options but Rare, I think you’d get a good starting point, because those would be pets you hadn’t already upgraded to rare, but that you had gotten via the above methods.

I don’t have a quick/easy filter (yet - I’m putting in a request to our web developer at WarcraftPets since this kind of request pops up quite a bit), but there’s an old list someone made on WarcraftPets of Uncommon quality pets. It hasn’t been updated in a long, long time but it might be a good place to start.

Thank you all very much for your help. If I manage an exhaustive list somehow, I’ll share it here.

Our web dev came through! WarcraftPets has a filter for “Original (pet) Quality” now:

The quality filter is for battle pets’ quality once learned (not the item quality) - just in case anyone is confused.

Also, note that filtering Poor quality will just show all wild pets as that’s the default that we set those pets as.

Please let me know if you find any errors and I’ll look into it!
