Like the moment players open their weekly vault

I swear to god i dindt know i had thalassophobia until i played this freaking game. At the start i was like ok this looks fun until i got to the later areas and freaked out. No exaggeration, my hands sweat just looking at certain screenshots of some areas. Now, just by standing on the top of the lifepod and looking to the water i get anxious.

Great game.

Doom has horror elements if you’re into fast paced action. However the one game that has truly got my heart pumping in fright is Alien: Isolation.

The horror is short lived imo, once you see the screaming guys in the night once it’s hard to get startled again.

Check out moons of madness, very solid old god horror game.

You should try out Tormented Souls, a new horror game inspired from classic Resident Evil and Silent Hill

I’m sort of a horror game fanatic, some of the best I can think of (that you likely haven’t heard of):

  • Distance (among the most inventive horror games ever made)
  • Fishing Vacation
  • Spooky’s House of Jumpscares! (silly name, but this is basically the perfect horror game).
  • Higurashi: When They Cry
  • Layers of Fear
  • Soma
  • It Moves
  • The Ghost Train

Give those a try.

The AI for the Xenomorph is so freaking impressive

haha thanks for the laughs!.. yeah vampire the masquerade 2 is coming at the end if the year…

The Amnesia games are pretty messed up. Cry of Fear is also good (and free.)

The ocean is horrifying as everything eldritch lives in there.

Walking out the front door can be pretty horrific if you have an overactive imagination and an anxious personality.

F.E.A.R. will always be one of my “go to” games for anything horror. It was released in 2005, but still holds its charm and overall scariness to this day. Shame people don’t stream it much now, especially when October hits.

EDIT: 2 is okay and 3’s only redeeming quality is that it has co-op campaign, other than that I see no reason not to avoid it.

Aww. :frowning:

The Sims 2.

Just put them in a room with no door but an oven and a kitchen counter and watch.

Or let them have fun in the pool and delete the stairs.

It might not be horrifying for you, but it sure is for them

Horror games are generally bad.
