I know people say it isnt possible in classic but thats not true. On Kui Nameplates I am able to see target castbars and it even shows when I interrupt them successfully so there is a way to get enemy castbars working.
But with the nameplate range being only 20 yards it can be annoying as most times you need to interrupt a ranged mob they are further than 20 yards away and having to get in close to see the castbar on nameplates is incredibly annoying
I use Shadowed Unit Frames so the classic enemy castbar addon for the default unit frames do not work.
eh…i was wondering why enemy bars weren’t working except at the 20yrd mark… I’m fine with it…if this is the way it works…so be it. let Classic be as vanilla as it can.
I never asked for nochanges though lol. Im just in classic to fear people for 15 seconds and when I hit 60 3 shot people as destruction lock
@Furoiko
ooo looks like they’ve updated some enemy castbars on weakauras since I last checked. Do they also show when you successfully interrupt? I was using one before where it would still have the castbar finish even if you interrupted.
The one in ElvUI works perfectly now. Also, there’s an LUA command to extend the range on the nameplates to whatever you want, shouldn’t be too hard to find.
Using Weak Auras and it half works – it shows the cast but is much less reliable with interrupts. I thought that was a spell batching issue, but will check out Classic Cast Bars.
I never asked for nochanges either, I wanted basic QoL sorted that they actually did give us in BC. It’s irritating not having NPC name plates and the insanely short enemy name plates given that some of your spells are 40y
awesome somehow that works even though I swear I tried that a few days ago and it didnt. Maybe the person who posted had a small typo in there or something
Yea im just using a weakaura too atm. Tried a few but none of them seem to work properly with interrupts like how kui nameplates handles it
