I’m gonna try out the game but honestly have no idea what to play. I was hoping to find something viable for PvE and PvP, preferably with a fun enough rotation (I’d like to mainly avoid the 1 button rotation classes if that’s possible)

Many factors for everyone. In my case, i want to participate in raids to kill enourmous monsters… and those events are more enjoyable to play for me as ranged attack class, so i choosed mage… beautifull casts and effects too. As a melee you have to move a lot more, which i dislike.
If you are playing solo, something like a warlock or hunter is nice since you have a pet to help you out.
My vote is warlock.
Paladin! Its boring at first but when you get to 60… Man does it ever stay the same!

Warlock in my book.
You can solo just about anything, you’re a great and unique asset to groups and you’re essentially able to transcend the rock/paper/scissors aspect of PvP - you really don’t have any predators like the other classes do.
I played a Warrior originally in classic and it was pretty brutal. I’m playing Warlock this time around and it’s so much more convenient it’s almost stupid.
