I personally self identify as a Panda DH, but blizzard won’t support my kind for some reason.

Pandas? I doubt that.

I think void elves and nightborne would be a happy comprise though. I would definitely roll a NB DH.

Probably not. Since they start in BC and Illidan specifically only allowed elves to join it.

Game mechanics will always Trump lore silly.

But Pandaren DH’s isn’t game mechanics, it’s just bad fanfiction at best.

There actually are some holy ones. Alonsus Faol is the leader of the Conclave order, an undead who willingly uses the Light. Undead can use it, it’s just painful.

I believe he’s even a Paladin.

It’s only cool under extremely rare circumstances.

EDIT: I’m thinking of someone else. But there is a Undead Paladin in lore.

Lore wise, they are shadow priests, yes. For gameplay reasons they can also be holy and disc.

There’s a reason for that. It would be pretty stupid to have one race that can be priests but can’t use the other two specs because “lore reasons”.

DH are already playable on other races. Do the following and you can have your panda DH.

  1. Roll outlaw rogue.
  2. Get the Warglaives of Azzinoth on that character.
  3. Find a good DH looking mog.
  4. Use plunder armor and other shapeshifting items to mimic demon form.
  5. Use glowing dance sticks to mimic fel rush.
  6. Death from above to give you a leap.
  7. Adrenaline rush so that you make a small yell when you attack.
  8. Grab Illidari pepe for the horns.
  9. Use between the eyes for your eye beam.
  10. Change all our action bar buttons to look more fel like.
  11. Use Killing spree to mimic dancing blades.
  12. Carry lots of goblin gliders everywhere.
  13. Use hook as a fel rush mimic and to break falls.
  14. Get engineering, grab nitro boosts and the gnomish gravity well for mobility.
  15. Grab some growth potions and macro them to be used when you perform plunder armor. They don’t cost much.
  16. Grab some Felmouth frenzies and these can be used to mimic fel bolts.
  17. Don’t forget to get a good mount. Dreadwake is a good one.
  18. Perhaps get some fel/demonic themed pets. Mischief is a good one.
  19. Come up with a good backstory that has a way it could be possible in lore.

Follow these guidelines. Stick to it and be in spirit about it and you got yourself a demon hunter.

No, Illidan and his lore is in the past. It’s like “Anymore races for DKs?” When LK doesn’t really do that anymore and Arthas who raised dks are dead.
