Well so far we had a thread about dog owners…then one today about Cat owners…okay…any Bird owners out there…I have two Parakeets…male and female…Male one is named Beaks and the female one is name Chi-Chi…both WoW names from the game…mine are coming up on their 1 yr old birthday next month…
I don’t have birds but I have 3 rats, named storm, thunder and lightning.
Did you have to use Kook instead of Cook because the substring is restricted? Or you want Kook?
Nah, my first toon I made with this was a lock named Kookiemonstr. I thought it was a cute way to Inter grate a lock giving out cookies/being kooky. It all kind of snowballed from there with all my names. I have a priest named kookiedough, a Druid named kookiemilk, hunter named kookiecrisp lol.
Aww cute. I have Kookis, I wanted it to be Cookis which is available but not allowed for some reason. Now I am good with the name, it’s incongruent with my life but cuter.
Never had one but I would of loved to have a bird, but then as my years go by I realize how much I hate loud noises, which is a damn shame though since birds are real cute n’ fluffy
Lets see…a Worgen druid name Mousepaws…A gnome Mage named Tinymouse…a Gnome Priest name Churchmouse…a Dwarf Pally named Dangermouse…a Dwarf Warlock name Mouselocket…a Gnome rogue named Mouseketters…should I go on…LOL
I really wanted this pally to be named kookiebutter but it was taken.
I feel like I’m not social enough to keep a bird. They’re very smart and have a whole host of social instincts and behaviors that we’re only just now discovering. Dogs and cats run on very similar wavelengths to humans. Birds, not so much. Especially large parrots. They’re mysterious creatures.
Also loud. They’re loud, mysterious creatures.
For example, most parrots do a behavior called eye pinning. They rapidly contract the iris of their eye in response to various stimuli. It’s a form of communication, and it definitely means -something-. It can mean many things. We just don’t understand it very well, and obviously can not replicate this form of communication even if we could understand it. Must be frustrating for a bird attempting to communicate with a human.
Does being told you have a bit of a bird chest by women count as being a bird owner?
Mine do love to start chatting loud when I talk on Discord or my phone…all my guild mates while on discord can hear them over the mic…LOL…they get a kick out of it.
Me thinks I started a trend.
Once my rats kick the bucket I’m getting ferrets.
Happy Birthday to them. <3
I owned one as a child and more in my teens. Both lived beyond 15 years, one reached 17 before she went.
Also, some of you aren’t saying what colors your birds are and I find that important.
Mine were yellow, blue, and green in that order.
Mine is white body with blue and some purple hue in them…some black in wings…
Pinkmouse! r.i.p.
I’ve never had any bird pets, but I do like to see the beauteous wild ones that visit…but not the ones that eat all of the fruit off of my apple, pear, and peach trees!
Nope and they can stay away. They are all terradactyls and are out for blood imo.
I have been a victim to bird attacks from many different kinds over the course of my 31 years here.
I’ve had a few birds over the years. Now I just eat like one. That’s right, I eat upwards of half my bodyweight in food every single day.
