Any addons to REDUCE visual effects?

Im trying to get my aging parents into the game. I had my mom tank a dungeon and she had a hard time. Mostly because of unnecessary visual clutter. She said in party chat “sorry im a bit older give me a second” and that threw my party members into a seething rage. Anyways, she said she would try it again but only if i could drastically reduce visual clutter. I already drastically turned down the graphic settings but the change wasnt drastic enough. Anything else i can do here?

I wouldn’t start them off in group content unless it’s with NPC’s or what ever.

I do think there are options in the menu to change spells and abilities.

There is a setting in the game to reduce Spell effects.

“Spell Density” in System–>Graphics settings.

Hi, I tried but its not enough

It may be time to open a ticket and uninstall for 48 hours. Might be a visual bug that requires Windows to update. Might take 72 hours just to be safe.

How does this help?

Well, the uninstall removes the game files, and the time offline will help clear any static cache. Then when you reinstall, it will repair any corrupt game files and revert to the default settings where you can then turn down the spell density.

sounds like you are trying to hack me bro

You can always just turn your graphics settings all the way down to the lowest they can go and that may help.

I appreciate the help you are attempting to give, but please don’t waste your time. Ililili is known for starting troll threads.

I agree with the sentiment. I just now finished the Dawnbreaker dungeon for the first time, and the visual clutter was excessive and made things unnecessarily difficult.

But I don’t think we need add-ons. I think we need to tell the Devs to chill.

I was not prepared for the demands of this dungeon, and everyone who plays this game knows that the player base wants to get through dungeons as fast as possible and there’s nothing in the world they hate more than a player who doesn’t know the dungeon and needs help.

I got a cue on this dungeon to take to flight. (Okay, that’s a new one, and a totally unnecessary complication, but that’s another topic.) But this purplish black mass swept over the floor and I couldn’t even see if I was flying, much less see the rest of my group so I could follow them.

There’s also a lot of sparkles on dead mobs, so it’s hard to tell if it’s a special effect or it’s waiting to be looted.

Devs, tone it down. You’ve gotten past ridiculous. And I don’t mind adding that it’s disgraceful that a Dev team is more committed to making excessive visual effects than actually telling a story.

Spoiler:

Dracarian already hacked him and posted this silly reply for him

Hack you… while your computer… is Off.

Oh I know. I was trying to get him to uninstall and stay offline for 3 days to give us all some peace and quiet
