The newest update is 2.3.0 as of Wednesday morning. Look at the bottom right of the Client for the update button.

Very reliable. May have a glitch talking to an addon repository but wait a minute and hit the “Check Updates” button and it is good.

its what i used of someones recommendation, straight forward and no fluff.
i just updated mine and i’m seeing retail, classic era, classic beta and classic tbc now.

So serious question, maybe I’m blind or an idiot, but where do BC addons go? There is no folder for it, I have only classic, classic beta, and retail folders. do they just go in the classic folder?

From CurseForge Discord.

Hey everyone the current version of Curseforge is not compatible with the current version of TBCC. It is being worked on and will be released at some point today. However, most of the popular addons have been updated by their publisher(questie included) and if you don’t want to wait for the new curseforge update then you will need to manually add them to your addons folder.

Here are 4 very simple steps to update your client

  1. Download updated addon from https…curseforge…com
  2. Open ’ World of Warcraft\ classic\Interface\AddOns ’ and delete existing addon that you wish to update(Deleting the existing addon is a critical step. Your settings will still be saved)
  3. Extract new download into same AddOns directory
  4. Relaunch WoW(edited)

WowUp.io works just fine for BC Classic and Classic Era.

Cursebreaker works for me

Curseforge is only showing vanilla addons on the app because it thinks tbc classic is vanilla. I think you can browse 2.5.1 addons on the actual curseforge website and manually install them

This is very much appreciated. I had no idea if they were aware of the issue. Thank you.

Wowup is working just fine for me (v2.3.0). The only hiccup I have seen is with Weak Auras as it has two separate updated files:

Weakauras-3.4.1-bcc.zip
Weakauras-3.4.1-classic.zip

Make sure you download the correct package.

Yeah. My understanding though, is that the last Weakauras packaging caused the issue. It’s not WowUp’s fault.

Wowup 2.3.0

Classic is TBC 2.5.1

Be sure to go into options and rescan on the install section so it picks up the correct versions.

For those using Curseforge, they now show the TBC client, so they did indeed get it done today. Updating as we speak.

It might be early. They’ll probably have it fix in a day or two. Nothing has been updated yet. I remember classic was kind of the same thing.

I been using WOWUP. I reassigned the WOW classic Add On folder in the options. it works fine for me. I have Questie and Weak Auras and they both work.

Tried singularity and it does work. The only issue is that it doesn’t include Elvui which WoWUp does.
