Out of all the Legion raids people as 120s go back to for transmog, etc, mythic Antorus seems like the most troublesome. Most of the time I have run it there is like a 50% chance the group will wash out at some point. Compared to Nighthold mythic which at 120 is pretty much a faceroll all the way it is more of a challenge. One thing is for sure though; Antorus mythic runs are nearly always interesting. My most recent one most of the group washed out on portal keeper, we spent 15 mins rebuilding, then ended up finishing the raid successfully. I even got my helm mog.
I’m curious on whether this is just my experience with Antorus, anyone else here have stories to tell of Ant+maybe other Legion mythic raids?
I haven’t tried doing any Legion raids as 120 yet so I can’t answer your question. However, I was wondering if you go in with a full raid for Nighthold or ToS? Or can you do it with a smaller raid?
Typically 15ish 120 people is the minimum for mythic legion raids. ToS is more difficult than Nighthold, but mainly only on 2 bosses. A full raid typically makes things go smoother while less than 13 people generally wont cut it.
I haven’t done antorus mythic yet, so the one I have most trouble with is ToS. (maiden of vigilance I’m looking at you) groups I’m in always get stuck on maiden, if not her then Kil’jaeden.
I find that typically when we get to maiden, a quick explanation and some markers means we will get through. Only had trouble with maiden boss in one run and never since. Avatar is usually the tough one, mostly when groups are a bit low and the dps is not enough to get through stage 2 before the whole floor is gone. With enough dps avatar is not too difficult.
