Yep basically this. They are simply avoiding server shut downs in the future, which would be more of a problem then than queue times are now.

Negative, people quite often line up for hours for movies, sales, and teasers. Hype gets people to do really stupid stuff because the product is still all in their head and they haven’t been let down yet.
