I doubt that RDF was the cause of decline in subs. Cata released in late 2010 had competitions, unlike vanilla and bc. I don’t remember exactly, but somewhere during Cata lifetime, myself have tried Guild Wars 2, Star Wars: The Old Republic, DC Universe Online. There are others if I recall correctly, like Lords of The Rings Online Expansion, Final Fantasy Online and Elder Scrolls. Other games started popping up around Cata era.
This is why he wants rdf, to force people i to his preverted notion of grouping. Something along the lines of “people in my group are here to get me gear and nothing else” seems to fit his mentality based on his behavior.
It’s ridiculous how these trolls are still trying to claim LFG has been a great social experience for them. Everyone knows better, yet they continue to embarrass themselves.
Not really you just have to be willing to be more flexible.
Grab a shadow priest and ask him to heal for most content 1-70 that is doable.
Boomkin? Ask to heal.
Dps Warrior, feral druid, ret, dps dk. All can tank without having to change spec or gear until close to 70. Just ask and many will say yes.
Or maybe and this might shock you not everyone with a tank/heal spec actually wants to play that spec, because wait for, those roles are very different than dpsing.
Idc if it takes 30 minutes as DPS or 2 minutes as heals, or is instant as tank. It gives you a pretty accurate wait time, and makes sure the group forms, then ports everyone there and says ‘‘Here ya go, you’re all here, it’s up to ya’ll to do the content and socialize without my help, good luck!’’ Without actually saying anything. That’s the features whole purpose, it’s a tool, in game, that links the player base together for content. Somehow this is anti-social in the ant RDFer book.
