AMS isn´t generating any runic power or, how does it generate based on how much magical dammage taken, because , in PVP situations you take tons of magic dammge and it bearly generates any RP, and the absortion From AMS is garbbage, 2 hits with anything and you are out of it. Even sometime when you get applied CC, it goes through your AMS.
It generates 1 runic power per % of your hp that's absorbed from it, since it's supposed to be 30% of your max hp as a shield it generates 30 runic power is all the damage is used up. So I can see why you don't notice it. That's 2/3rds of a death strike though, which is still interesting to think about.
Plus, you have the Spell Eater talent as unholy, if you're against specifically magic users I like to think it's worth it over death pact. Then you can add in that one trait we have for AMS which gives it like 14k more absorb and increases it'd duration by 1sec, add these together thats a REALLY strong spell for a 1 minute cooldown. All this increase in the amount absorbed would also make it generate more runic power.
Even just on its own I think it's still really strong though. Sure the absorb isn't entirely hard to break through, but its still damage they have to break through to kill you. And being on a 1 min cooldown, its able to be used a LOT.
