Ask your doctor, not random people on the internet.
Do not ever seek medical advice from someone you have no way of identifying.

Zoloft works for me.
Oof… mine were random so I was like… “This doesnt seem right” and dropped the meds. I was probably supposed to wean off , but it was only 2 weeks in.
It is a strange thing to ask a gaming community for advice regarding which antidepressant (or any drug for that matter) might be appropriate for you.
That said, as others have already advised, seek the advice of a provider who can prescribe the right drug for you.
SSRI withdrawl is a pita. Those brain zaps are something else, not to mention everything else.
On a side note, talk to your doctor about which one. I have found prozac and zoloft the most effective. Work with a doctor preferably a psychiatrist when it comes to mental health drugs and a therapist or psychologist for the other stuff. Therapists and psychologist’s cannot prescribe anything.
Talk with your doctor, not GD.
Mine only happened if I ran out of the certain medication too soon. SSRIs are useful UNTIL you can’t take one for a few days. Then your brain pretty much screams at you non stop for days.
And the best part was my doctor didn’t warn me AT ALL that this could happen
It actually is how depression works. Exercise, particularly cardio, is incredibly helpful at reducing depression.
Antidepressants can give you that “stability” you need to be able to get on-track with your life, but in the long run, you’ll find yourself a lot happier if you exercise routinely.
Money, lots of it! Nothing cures sadness like a big wad of cash.
Just to clarify. I was on antidepressants for a couple weeks in the 90s. The brain zaps were happening ON the meds. I found an active, engaged lifestyle solved my particular ills. (not a cure for everyone)
Try a different type of medicine with your doctor
Change your day around to confuse your brains pattern of being bummed
Think about events in your life that could be causing the down feelings .If they are, then you’ve got some work to do to make those things better. In this case a therapist would be helpful or someone who you can talk out your feelings with!
Good luck! Depression is tough, sorry to hear your going through this.
a daily dose of M+ 20 or higher
Hello fellow azerothian, im sorry this is happening to you I know the struggle. Personally whats helped me and also continues to help me is exercising. I lift weights and run mainly but any form of excerise is great to help clear the mind. It did wonders for me and continues to do so. Thats my personal suggestion as ive never been a fan of any anti depressant drugs because a good friend of mine lost his life from the addiction. Stay strong and keep on keeping on, I really hope the best for you!
As a general FYI, anyone on Zoloft should absolutely never EVER stop taking it cold turkey, but instead follow a professional’s tapering system. The experience resulting from a dead stop is HORRIBLE.
Weed.
I have severe anxiety, depression, and ocd. Anti depressants never worked for me. Weed helps a lot. It isn’t a cure all - but it can help certain people.
get opinions from doctors you trust.
Not Prozac, that’s for sure. Effect is weak, and in return you can barely see past your nose. Also lethargy.
You should get both a psychiatrist and a therapist. Finding which anti-depressent works for you and your situation is incredibly personal and recommendations arent useful in that situation.
Congratulations on saying what probably amounts to the dumbest thing in this thread.
Pain is all in your head too. Doesn’t make the physiological cause of pain any less real.
Alzheimers is all in your head too. Does that make the neurological cause less real?
Cringe.
