I didn’t expect my class to be great by any means, but I at least expected it to function properly, and never once did I think it would get smacked around with the nerf bat, but here we are with armor potions being the latest victim. Like, what is even the point anymore, what does nerfing a bad class even accomplish? Can’t you fix bugs instead of cherry picking who gets to be creative? Did you get your feelings hurt by warriors during world buff metas? If so, you need to realize that all of the DPS elitists left warrior a long, long time ago, and the people you’re mad at play entirely different meta classes now. Does the boring McNormal guy swinging a mundane sword not fit your apparent class fantasy? Because I don’t know anything more classically epic than overcoming dragons with nothing more than valor and grit. Seriously, I get it, you hate warrior, but don’t go thinking you have to nerf us now to keep us from being overpowered in ICC, we’re just going to get close to closing the gap with a lot of classes, and maybe not even UHDK if they continue to find ways to scale. Can’t you just, like, fix ignite munching instead? Or one of the other numerous bugs? I get that bug squashing may be harder and take longer, but it’ll never get done if you constantly distract yourself with non-issues, when that time could have been better capitalized on.

Yeah it is pretty funny, unholy dks are so obviously broken pulling numbers most classes won’t possibly do even in ICC. But hey, warriors are getting 80 dps (up to a max of 1k in ICC) with a fiery weapon enchant, NERF THEM!!! Hang on a second, they’re getting another minor increase from armor pots? NERF THEM!!!
Why they continue to ignore unholy dk gargoyles which is so incredibly broken but just focus all their nerf fire at the weakest class in the game right now is beyond me.

Also I hear that Warriors have the same issue as Mages with Ignite munching but it’s with deep wounds? Not 100% sure but it’s what I’ve heard.
Truth be told I don’t know why they did this, but it’ll be nice not having to do a pull 60 in our Naxx runs so we can armor pot before we use a free action.
Yeah technically I think it’s more than just mages and warriors, but we’re the two hit the hardest, so we’re the two you’ll hear complain the most often. Plus other things are busted for warrior, like Taste For Blood still eating a few procs, it’s just been a mess. The class itself is still fun to play, but I hate feeling like a drag on my team just because I want to have fun in a game.

I don’t notice it that much because my crit is just too low but I fear it’ll become VERY noticable as Mages get access to more and more crit.

Yeah I wouldn’t care at all if there wasnt so many other bugs around. Like are the Devs blind? Is there really nothing more important than a small nerf to the worst class in the game rn?
We can hope that’s it’s to tame some of the degeneracy that warriors will have to do when they are kingpins later in the game.
Tbh I don’t think anything will overtake unholy if it’s left in its current state. And why are they focusing on warriors because apparently they’ll be strong 8 months from now…
Even if these changes are made with good intentions, which is hard for me to believe but is admittedly possible, I think these actions are overzealous until it has been established as an actual problem. You should put out the closest fires first, so to speak, especially with how metas have evolved and how hard it is to truly predict things so many months out.
I genuinely don’t know the answers to any of these questions I am merely speculating.
Unholy will calm down a bit as the fights get longer (if).
and will go up again if the fights get longer (having a 3:30-3:40 fight would favor unholy again, having a full 2nd garg up…)

It’s true but that second garg is gonna be significantly less powerful afaik.

45sec ICD stuff ? available
Pretty much every hastebuff except BL is available for a second garg, and most trinket stuff is either available as well as on use, or ready to proc with 45s ICD.

I dont know why people keep saying warriors are gonna be stupid dps in ICC.
Where the hell did you all get the idea? Its 100% false. I can with certain memory tell you that the warrior we kept around who had a shadowmourne was NOT outdpsing our pally with one. Took me much longer on my ret pally back then to get the 3rd one, me and the other ret pally constantly competed for #2-6 on dps meters frequently eaten alive by a warlock, dk, or rogue.
Wanna know where warriors were? Below 10th. Every. Single. ICC. Raid.
Im sure the meta slaves are shivering in their dead hunters boots that got dst early. Or dual wielding tanks in classic, or warlocks/dks right now.
Sucks that i picked the objectivley worst class and spec every expansion, being a prot warrior in classic and tbc, and just now forced to dps as theres no tank spot for me.
Its too shameful for me to even try a os3d pug run as i just know ill bring a bad name to my guild if i dare dps it as arms.
Their logic about Fiery doesnt even hold, they said they did not like how low level enchants and gear (because of the gloves) interacted with deep wounds. Yet, they still have DKs running around with a level 28 mace(manual crowdpummler), a level 70 BOE axe(singing crystal axe), they swap to a different weapon enchant using weak auras, because their signature class enchants, runeforging is not as good as black magic, they swap their meta gems in combat, and probably a few other things I am not listing that should be fixed.
It amazes me the insane lengths that DKs go to to get thousands of more DPS than everyone else. There are literally 4 warlocks in the top 100 DPS on patchwerk (used as a benchmark) the rest are unholy DKs, 96 out of 100 of the top DPS are Unholy DKs using all kinds of unintended interactions, yet blizzard feels the need to nerf armor pots.
The next class other than the couple of dozen warlocks that are in the top 500 (yea, couple of dozen warlocks in the top 500, the rest are Unholy DKs) is an enhance shaman at 507th. There is a single mage that broke the top 600 at 583.
But lets nerf armor pots, I mean really. I can look at other bosses and see a similar pattern it isn’t like DKs are not crushing everyone on all the other bosses, the only bosses where other classes have a chance are ones like Thaddius or Loaheb, or they have adds like grand widow, and there are a few other classes that make it look more diverse but unholy DKs are still up there crushing it on the meters.
To add on to that, recently blizzard responded about paladin balance and their answer was interesting at best.
Currently ive stopped applying to OS3D runs because ive been turned away everytime. I also ahead of time tell them i dont care about the ring still dont get invited.
Gets worse around 2 drake runs, i dont even get responses back, just straight up ignored.
My parses arent even bad by any means, in just a few weeks i went from green to purple parsing, going for oranges now tightening my rotation and using engineering to the max.
Just feelsbadman, i am now going to remind you all of the best 0 light strat for yogg-saron. You stack warlocks and a few shadow priests, thats it. I quit the game the moment in cataclysm my guild forced every dps to make an enhance shaman for spine fight because lag and burst was too unpredictable.
