Another topic on worgens and a rant

We had hoped to see a werewolf appear with the arrival of Cataclysm, but all we got were enraged chihuahuas.
We had hoped for scars that could be applied independently to fur, but we only got two fur tones with mandatory scars.
We were expecting more options with the overhaul, but we were faced with the same situation as on the first day.
We had hoped to encounter wild and unforgettable characters, but all we got was a barely memorable and boring king.
We wanted optional tails, but all we got were constant jokes and trolls.
We had hoped for a grand resurgence of Gilneas, but all we got were five quests following the same path as our initial ones.

In the end, Worgens are nothing but a source of disappointment and mockery created by people who think it’s “cool” to have fierce dogs dressed up as nobles from our history. A community formed around this race after 13 years, and yet, after all this time, we are still disappointed by the content offered by Blizzard. Why aren’t our requests taken seriously? Is it so difficult to satisfy a community and introduce additions for the greater good? All I see is a lot of effort for ultimately very little. Saying that you’re working on more customization only to release four new hair colors isn’t customization; it’s mocking the world!

Instead of wasting time on yet another race that has no reason to exist and will be forgotten when the next expansion arrives, focus on adding more customization options for all races. It’s time for Blizzard to truly consider the expectations and demands of its community. Rather than solely focusing on superficial new additions or irrelevant races, priority should be given to improving the experience for all players, regardless of their race or class. More customization, meaningful quests, and engaging content for each of the existing races would make the world much more dynamic and appealing.

It’s frustrating to see Blizzard continuously destroy itself, respond to our legitimate concerns with jokes, and continue to offer us yet another item to purchase as if everything is normal.

I’m sure there must be internal teams striving to make things better, but at some point, it becomes excessive…

No offense, but I think the devs made their stance on Worgen pretty clear with Gilneas.
No flight point, no portal, no ship, but a flight point adorned with Sylvanas banners for the Horde and a neutral city after all that has happened. That pretty much says it all.

I don’t think you can expect much more there. And trust me, you don’t want Worgen to be in the spotlight, or you’ll end up like the Night Elves. That is, being a pinata for years.

If you’re lucky, Worgen might get 3 more fur colors in the next three years.

#Small Indie Company

Saying that it’s mostly a grumble to see Blizzard give crumbs on certain subjects and put all their resources on one thing only. Seeing that the work is half done and being so disconnected from what the community expects, it really makes me despair…

I don’t know what’s better, to be forgotten or to have content but to be a pinata.

Bite your tongue! Genn is awesome!

Let alone claiming they’re giving worgen new stuff when it’s just fur colors or mainly stuff for their worthless human form. I’m sorry but why even add worgen if they’re going to be treated like an unwanted step child for what 13 years? Maybe given new stuff every so often but nothing great if anything at all yet the Elves (except nightborne) get stuff every single time lately whether they asked for it or not. How is this fair?

Expecting a similar response at some point to the requests around Dracthyr visage tbh like I’m assuming their story is over and at no point was a reason for Dracthyr having visages that look similar to races that didn’t even exist 20,000 years ago provided.

Genn is just a running gag who spends his time chasing Anduin, he’s the only worgen character with a story who keeps making appearances. At times he has heroic phases, the rest of the time he’s just a cameo to say there’s another human kingdom.

I don’t think it’s fair to continually and exclusively give to the same race, it’s exhausting to see Blizzard release new races but abandon the old ones.

:’)

Blizzard: So we heard you all wanted tails for Worgen and playable Gnolls, well I have some good news. After careful deliberation. We’ve decided to make the Niffen of Zaralek Cavern playable on both sides! Aren’t we generous?

Sounds to me like you dont actually like worgen.

You like the idea of something similar and are upset that worgen were never made to be or intended to be that.

I really like worgen, it’s even one of my favorite breeds, the problem is that as time goes on, I just get the impression that creating this race was just an obligation for the developers in the end.

Just to give you an example, since their announcement I’ve been hoping to see the arrival of jewels. There’s been nothing when they came out, not for their redesigns and not even with the new additions for SL, so yes I’m annoyed, I’m annoyed that they’re selling me werewolves but to see that nothing revolves around this subject. That the customizations for this race have been the same for 13 years. That the same excuses keep coming back, saying that they’re first and foremost human and that everything has to revolve around the human form.

Why create a race of werewolves if not to have nothing in the end?
If I’d wanted to have a story and personalization linked to humans, I’d have created a human.
