Lol this company man. Hogrus the flying pig is being added to the store.
Activision is absolutely disgusting. I miss when Blizzard was a thing. The 1st store mount was added shortly after the merger, and things have gotten worse and worse ever since.
So long, world of warcraft. Hopefully you improve and your devs stop trying to squeeze every penny out of the community, then I might come back, but I don’t see that coming.
If the trend is to release a new store mount in celebration of the Chinese Zodiac it’s going to be interesting to see what next years Rat mount will look like.
@Blizzard: in preparation for year of the rat we’re going to retire the Ratstallion mount to make the new flying rat feel more appreciated and not at all to cuddle up to the Chinese more.
Hi. Allow me to be the first to welcome you to April 15th, 2010. This was the day the Celestial Steed was added to the store. Mounts in the store are nothing new. If you’ve played Wrath through now you have seen 13 already.
Activision is a separate company. And Blizzard is a thing. They’re both owned by the holding company Activision Blizzard.
As long as necessary gear is never added to the store, I don’t care what they sell.
If they start going to route of other games, where you can BUY catch up mechanics and OP versions of spells that people in game would have to wait months for, then we’re looking at pay to win bs.
Or the fact that only those on the chinese servers can only buy it right now. Kinda pathetic, imo.
Which I’m sure it will come to us soon. Just not in the 6m form that it is in for chinese servers. I’m so totally gonna buy it too. Gotta have my hands on dat flyin pig. For the funny memes and all.
Boosts don’t make you stronger than others at your level, and gold currently can’t buy the best available gear. I actually think this is one of the reasons those higher ilevel crafted items are not able to be sold.
I haven’t played this game for too long, but it seems they understand the need to avoid this kind of thinking. But…shrinking subs could lead to it, that’s for sure.
