Don’t you hate it when a small patch/hotfix drops, and you wake up the next day and your UI and graphics options are all reset?
Well, it happened this morning it caused me like 2 minutes to fix it but I’m going to go on the forums and complain about it anyway!
My suggestion is to save two things:
One saves your game settings. The other saves your addon settings.
does this happen because of a particular addon, or the native UI?
I use ElvUI and this doesn’t happen to me. Im curious because I have been thinking about leaving ElvUI.
I haven’t had any settings reset. If it’s happening it’s something on your end.
I don’t know but all my settings were reset.
I even had to recheck to Auto Loot.
Again, not a big deal but annoying.
I don’t believe it’s because of either. I’ve never had my game setting reset before, but that sounds like something backend, because settings are loaded prior to anything in the UI or addons.
Its usually an addon causing issues 9 times out of 10.
There was a bug when edit mode was first introduced in that first week that wouldn’t save profiles. But that was quickly ironed out.
Not really. Been playing since 2004 and that has never happened to me.

Hasn’t happened to me either, even after installing this game on a new pc.
This has happened to me several times over the last year and i only use the default UI, it’s heavily customized to my liking though, that’s the annoying part because it takes me ages to get it back to where i like it lol
Addons can’t cause a problem with game settings before they’re loaded, though. Game settings are loaded upon game launch. Addons are loaded when you log into a character.
They do cause unknown errors and sometimes ui resets.
I had a problem with a random addon and my ui kept resetting. Went down my list and found the problem child and disabled it and my ui stopped resetting.
Mine happened on login and anytime I hit a loading screen to a new continent or dungeon lol. So it was super annoying.
This was middle of df though.
I have yet to have this happen and I use the default UI.
Tbh its usually from unrelated addons.
Tomcat tours sometimes causes ui resets. I know Ive had misc other addons do the same that Ive just flat deleted vs disabling.
I use default as well.
OP’s issue was also game settings, like graphic options. That stuff loads before the UI. But if it’s a combo of the two, you may be right!
