So I guess this is just a WoW thing now. Patch comes out, breaks your game.
Press Play, game never launches.
I found a fix for it once but I don’t remember what it is. I’ve tried numerous other “fixes” with no luck.
The only thing that seems to work for sure is uninstall and reinstalling.
Could be this thread?
Not sure what caused your issue, but no problems on my end. Maybe security software? Maybe windows update?
Yep, I made that thread the last time it broke. I ended up having to uninstall and reinstall.
How can Blizz not figure out the issue? No other game I have does this.
It’s not a common issue that I am aware of, and likely not a service issue, but a local computer issue.
Its pretty common. You can Google “pressing play wow doesn’t launch” or something along those lines.
Fortunately, I got it to work this time. I renamed the Wow.exe to force the game to make a new one. Then it launched.
